I discovered Concerto while searching for Sonos dealers in the city. It’s a really tiny boutique style store that deals in extremely high end speaker systems. So much so that they didn’t even have a Sonos unit on display, and I had to climb downstairs to get one. The staff was mainly a very experienced speaker technician who seemed somewhat interested in sharing his knowledge of sound systems. When I asked why anyone would spend so much money on a pair of speakers in Amsterdam where living rooms are so tiny, I was told that I’d be surprised. The most expensive pair of speakers I saw in store cost about € 25k. They wouldn’t even demo the sound to me, but I don’t blame them, I was there only to buy a € 300 speaker unit.
