Café Van Daele

Good place to stop by for some beers and coffee! We stopped by because we love these little cafes with outdoor seating, we get to drink beer and enjoy local Amsterdam! I ordered a cappuccino for around 3 €, and we got 2 Amstel large pints for 4.5 € each. Reasonable prices at this Great little café, with an upstairs, cute lamps decorated with stained glass, and cute little seating areas! The waitress was very friendly as well, and did not hassle us about seating or ordering.

The epicentre of Amsterdam. Royal Palace, Madame Tussaud, Red Light, Bijenkorf. Tourists…
We all know how over-​crowded tourist spots can be. Those also tend to draw some of the most uninteresting restaurants and cafés.
This one though, is quite better than the rest. Not really pricey and has a great atmosphere. You can sit outside in the sun, or you can go for one of the 3 different floors inside.
Do you like board games? Look no further, for those of you who like to beat their opponents with Scrabble and alike, then this is the place to go (I meant «playing» Scrabble, not beating them with the game’s box, although that is certainly possible #talkfromexperience).
Unfortunately I went there for a really quick bite, so I cannot say much regarding the food. They do have great soups though: P
I am giving it 4 stars because it’s like a rare thing to find a nice place in such a location. Oh, and as mentioned on another review, the music playing on the background is great!

Cool bar located very close to Dam Square. It was a chilly autumn day which necessitated something warm NOW. We decided to duck in and sample some soup (mushroom) and bread. Both were delicious and served relatively quickly after ordering. I can’t comment on the drinks, as I was way more interested in warm food, but the place looks like it would be a fun hangout, from what other Unilocalers have written.

The bartender was superb to his boisterous/​stoned travelers. He played tons of music we liked and requested like MGMT, Empire of the Sun, Michael Jackson and more. The drinks were affordable and they had a full bar. The pub/​café had indoor and out door seating and is located in the heart of the city. I will be back to reminisce as soon as I can.

Somewhat of a dive bar on a heavily frequented corner. We stopped in for a couple beers. Nothing special yet the drink selection was good and service was really nice. The bartender was a good guy and did his best to give us tips on the beers they had on offer. Again though, nothing memorable. Just a solid bar to get drinks.
