I admit, I do find any excuse to get a cup of stalling java. Stalling because i have things to do today. But in my defense i just noticed a flat tire AND it started to rain. AND i’ve never been here before (eventhough it’s at an arm’s length from where I live) So there.
* Venue /​staff
The place is nice, simple and clean, some motown on the background, it all fits. Staff is friendly and quick. Well, with 3 tables occupied on a Wednesday afternoon you can’t expect a delay.
* Espresso Macchiato
My espresso macchiato was good, although somehow the second one was a tad bitter. What was missing was some plain water, both times.
* Caesar Salad
In between these two cups of coffee i had me a caesar salad with chicken. The chicken costs € 3,50 extra, which somehow sounds steep. On the other hand, I don’t like a Caesar w/​o chicken, so had no choice but to order.
Within minutes the salad was served, while I hadn’t finished my first espresso yet.
Glad I added the chicken, it included the crispy skin. Served on the kind of kitchen garden that wild hares go crazy about, a shitload of lettuce. But in all honesty the combination was good and proportional. I’d order it again.
All in all a positive experience.
Around dinner time the place is packed, curious to find out what the menu card will look like by night.

Food is basic, but delicious. I went after the lunch rush in a Wednesday afternoon so the place was virtually empty. Our server was lovely, and our meals (lamb burger and chicken ceasar salad) were fresh and tasty. The fries that cane with the lamb burger are seriously amongst the best I’ve ever tried! I didn’t find the prices to be unreasonable and have no complaints, would definitely go again.

The first place we visited when we stayed in Amsterdam and also one of the best. Great service, good variety of drinks and nice sandwiches and other food. Go there to have a great lunch, dinner or drinking time combined with excellent food.

Was für ein wunderschöner, netter und gemütlicher Laden, den wir da über die Unilocal App gefunden haben. Die Karte war leider nur auf niederländisch, aber der Kellner so freundlich, sie uns komplett auf englisch zu übersetzen.
Wir hatten nur ein paar Kleinigkeiten, Salat, Käseplatte etc. und es war alles so unglaublich lecker! Zum Käse reichte man ein süßes Nussbrot mit Rosinen — grandios!!!
Der Wein war auch toll, das Ambiente stimmte. Fazit: uneingeschränkt empfehlenswert!
