Hotel restaurants can be hit and miss. This one definitely a win. Not only food is great and décor is fantastic as rest of De Hallen — you also cannot beat the convenience of staying close to your room if you are tired from all walking around and sightseeing. There is a great wine list, and a glass chilled to just right temperature. Fresh bread, steamy hot, with a bit of good olive oil and bruschetta. Light and flavorful razor clam ceviche with chicory and anchovies was a great starter. Razor clams were ridiculously good! Main course choices were solid — I opted to cod with lobster foam and carrot crème. Yum. Of course, I saw crème brûlée and ice cream on dessert menu — how could I not to? ~disappeared in seconds~ The Prix Fixe menu is a good deal. Sitting next to old tram depot doors, open to fresh evening breeze from a canal, street lights burning bright outside, and looking at old rail running on a floor next to your seat — absolutely priceless.

LOVE! THIS! PLACE! Went out there for a long overdo lunch with G&Ts(you had me at «Hendrick’s»), oysters and champaign. Oh and friends, let’s not leave out any details… :) Amazing sunny terrace(or did we just pick the best spot in the house?), where you’re not distracted by anything happening outside of that comfort zone. Staff are ok, not overly friendly i must say. The food quality was not out of the ordinary, but just good enough(Altho the chicken in my caesar salad wasn’t completely ready for consumption imho). The chocolate cake was nice, could be a bit more runny, but mush enough to be consumed by us, who claimed not to be in the mood for deserts. I mean chocolate, how could we go let that go to waste… As Arnold said: «I’ll be back»
