Great local bar. Great staff and the prices are still the same as 20 years ago. Try the cacciatore!

Awesome place! Found it wandering the streets of Amsterdam and was hungry. Saw it had good reviews and decided to try it out. I had their tomato soup, cheese toastie and fries. I also tasted the spicy meat egg rolls and shrimp tempura which were all delicious. They had a nice sweet and spicy chilli sauce to dip everything in and it was really good, although service was slow, which I suppose is expected in Europe by now no? The food was great and for the price, very inexpensive. The bread that came with my soup was homemade and seriously one of the best breads I have ever had, let alone at some random pub! I also had this nice beer called Wieckse which is a nice white beer if thats your thing. The atmosphere here is very chill and easy going, good place to go with friends or for a few hours of drinking/eating and talking. Overall I say this place is nice, relaxed and I would recommend it to anyone staying or living in Amsterdam :-)

Wonderful little neighborhood pup! We ran for cover here when the rain got too hard to navigate in the afternoon! We enjoyed the little booth/tables by the front window, enjoyed a couple beers, our friend had hot tea! We decided not to snack since we had dinner reservation later, but everything looked tasty. The neighborhood vibe is nice, the local pup gets his own stool at the bar(with his mom and dad) Staff is very friendly and the beers come out cold and quick! There is one large group table and about 5 separate seating areas, it’s cute and cozy Pro tip — to flush the toilet, it’s on the top!(if you are short like me, just press around!)

Great, cozy, neighborhood bar with good beer selection and tasty food. Bitterballen and schnitzel are superb. The owner, Dennis, is friendly and lots if fun. A great place to experience the ‘real’ Amsterdam.

Little cozy café very close to my university. A nice option if you want to have a few drinks, snacks or even a meal. The prices are not high, especially not for the snacks! We had a snack platter with bitterballen, loempia’s and chicken nuggets; 18 pcs for 6 euro! That’s what you usually pay for 8 bitterballen. There is a nice beer selection as well and also quite some wines, all for 2,75 euros a glass. For lunch there are eggs, soups and all kinds of sandwiches. For dinner you can get typical café food like sate, steak or schnitzel. All for a fair price. The place is really cozy as well, due to being small with a warm interior and the very friendly staff. You have to pay cash here though, so keep that in mind.
