What can you say about a place that’s always there for you? The place that lets you be you, serving great food and great drinks. These places are rarer and rarer in Amsterdam. They are also usually dominated by a local subculture, that does not let you be a part of it.
This is a great bar, which let you be you, supporting your ideas, while serving great drinks and food.
A rare gem in the ams scene.

Great coffeehouse near the train station. It serves a good variety of beers and has food service. The downstairs dining room has a large window that opens up and provides a view of one of the canals. The downstairs dining room also allows smoking tobacco and other herbs.

I like it. It’s across the street from the Central Station. It’s got a nice easy layout where you can hang out at the bar or sit at a table to chat. It’s got that old bar feel. They serve snacks and it’s a full bar. It’s relatively quiet which is a nice change. I like busy bars but there are plenty of times when a nice quiet bar is relaxing, inviting, soothing. And I like the bartender. DOH.
