Friendly staff, good burgers, standard choice in toppings. I had a 200 gram Wagyu with cheddar cheese, bacon and an egg. The bun was soft enough to compress the burger so I could get it into my mouth. Once down to half it started to fall apart so I switched to knife and fork. I was more than pleased with how it tasted. It’s another small burger place but more than enough seating when it’s not so busy. I could have done with half the amount of fries. They were good though. They’re also dog friendly.

I am giving it 3 stars, but I feel it’s a 2.5. A friend recommended this burger place, but I will have to disagree with her.(Sorry!) Maybe it’s because I have had some amazing burgers in Amsterdam, but this place did not meet expectations. There were two women working, one seemed very pleasant and smiling and the other didn’t seem to want to be there. The girl in front of us asked if her burger could be cut in half, and the woman behind the counter gave some attitude about it. She wasn’t rude, but not exactly polite. I wish the other woman was taking the orders. My husband ordered bacon, cheese and avocado on his burger… they forgot the cheese and the avocado was a huge chunk and hard. I asked for nothing on top of my burger and they still put lettuce and sauce on my burger until I caught them while they were making it, so they dumped the toppings off. Just not a great experience. Almost 20 euro for two burgers, one order of fries, and one coca-cola. Won’t be going back. But at least we tried it.

Gute Alternative zu den meist überfüllten Burger Bars und Burgermeesters in Amsterdam. Sehr gute Lage und für Amsterdamer Verhältnisse sind auch die Preise in Ordnung. Angus Beef Burger schon saftig, dazu erstklassige Pommes. Komme gern wieder her.

Located off the Rembrandtplein, this place is a great drop in place for a burger. I loved that you could choose exactly what you want on your burger so you could have it as plain or fancy as you felt like. You can also choose the meat; my husband went for the 260g Dutch style and I went for the 200g black Angus burger. We both had sauted mushrooms and blue cheese with them — it also comes with lettuce, tomato and gherkins so you need to tell them you do not want that if you do not. We also got one portion of fries which was huge with Oorlog(war sauce). This is a must try if you’ve not had it and is satay sauce with mayonnaise and raw onion. We love it. The only thing was the sauce to fry ratio was slightly off and we ran out of sauce before fries but we were so stuffed from the great burgers it didn’t matter. Only thing to note is there is a bit of a loud extractor that makes noise every few minutes that reminds me of eating in a railway arch café in London but not as loud. Will definitely go back for the burgers! Yum! :)

The burger here was outstanding. I had one with fried egg, cheese and fries. The best I’ve tried in Amsterdam. The location is great in the Rembrandtplein area near the clubs and famous Tuchinsky theatre. Service is very fast and friendly. The burgers come with a variety of toppings including avocado, cheddar cheese, eggplant, bacon, blue cheese etc. Highly recommended if you are looking for the best and biggest burgers in Amsterdam.
