Burger Fabriek

Eran las tantas de la noche, y como el concierto de Madonna se había retrasado, entre que habíamos conseguido un taxi y tal se nos hizo tremendamente tarde. Por suerte, de repente, llegamos a una de las calles principales de Amsterdam (conducidos por el taxista más guapo que yo he visto en mi vida, que todo hay que decirlo) y vimos que ese sitio estaba abierto. Entré a preguntar si seguían haciendo comida, asintieron y entramos los cuatro. No había mesas pero unos chicos se levantaban ya, así que aprovechamos para ocupar ese espacio.
Pedimos cada uno una hamburguesa. El sitio es pequeñito, no tiene más que una barra, unas pocas mesas y la cocina está a la vista, pero sin embargo, no sales de allí con olor a frito. ¡Punto extra! Por otro lado, dicen tener wifi, pero nos tuvimos que conectar a la del negocio de al lado, una tienda de piercings.
Pedimos cuatro hamburguesas, y las tres aparecieron con una montaña de patatas fritas. Riquísimas, de verdad, pero ni yo pude acabármelas todas, y eso que estaba hambriento. La hamburguesa estaba rica, en relación a los componentes, pero la carne estaba muy, muy pero que muy hecha. Demasiado para un local de hamburguesas gourmet, la verdad.

Popped into Burger Fabriek after strolling around the many delights of Amsterdam for the day. Feeling the hunger kick we decided to find a spot where we could sit down. From the outside this place looked pretty cool and we weren’t disappointed inside.
Table service was fast and the staff were friendly, also happy to start a conversation which is always nice when you’re in the holiday mood. We ordered the beef burger, chicken burger, chips and two Heineken’s which came to under 30 euros which I thought was good value for Amsterdam, they had a selection of international burgers to choose from as well which was a nice touch for those feeling a little more adventurous.
The chicken burger was great, really well seasoned in a minced pattie style, not what I was expecting but a nice surprise and the beef burger was juicy and full of flavour. Probably the star of the show were the buns, they were the perfect mix of toasted but still moist, a good bun makes a good burger… You heard it here first!
They also have a pour your own beer system hooked up to a few of the tables which would be great if you are in a larger group.
So yeah cool place with tasty food to grab a spot of afternoon lunch once you get sick of all the Amsterdam cheese samples :)

Very friendly staff and great service. My group sat at the bar/​counter. We were greeted as we walked in and the staff was tentative to us to take our order quickly. The staff was genuine and felt welcomed and appreciated.
Our order of 3 burgers came out quickly. I ordered the Amsterdam /​Red Light Burger. Meat was tender, tasty and flame grilled. Bun was nice and toasted. Served with enough house special sauce (was not running off the burger or make the burger slippery to hold). Served with tomatoes, lettuce, and red Union. The old Amsterdam Cheese in my burger was pretty good.
Definitely give this place a try. Many options for various tastes in burgers. Also have options to add various items like avocado, bacon, or mushrooms if your burger does not already come with it. The special burgers have various added items and come with fries.
Despite the limited seating but the food and value were great. There are bathrooms/​restrooms/​toilets located inside. I will definitely eat here again when I return to town.

Even though this is a burger joint we opted for hot dogs. They were € 9 including fries.
They offer free wifi but it was not working when we were here.
Each burger /​hot dog is themed to a different country so you can choose your flavour.
We waited what seemed to be a while but the place did pack out while we were there. They prefer table service if you are dining in.
Fries come with mayo but ketchup is available on request. Fries were delicious. Perfect amount of crisp, hot and salted perfectly.
Hot dog how ever was cold. On mine the onions were burnt and the guacamole from a packet. My friends hot dog had pickled onions which were refrigerator cold.
We were serviced with a smile though and I left no longer hungry.
