Simple noodles and tasting good. Nothing to complain about the food itself, but nothing special to it either. We just came here for the convenience of it being nearby.

THE place to go for fresh Indonesian noodles made by the friendly owner Aries. Especially in the weekend this clean place is packed with Indonesians. Get the ‘wet’ noodles with chicken and meatballs. Drink a tjendol with it and be happy.

When we entered the snackbar it looked promising. It was full and there were many indonesians eating inside. We got a bit disappointed when the food arrived. We felt like stinking rich smurfs. We paid the jackpot of € 9 for a small cup of noodles. it would be great if it was also filled up with gold but, no, it was just a lot of money for 2 bites of noodles. If you are interested to still eat there, prepare to carry plenty of cash because there is no cash machine available. For us, let’s just leave it at a «one life experience».

I am not a big fan of carbs, except for noodles(bakmi), especially the Indonesian bakmi ayam(chicken noodle) that I grew up with! Here in Holland, this is rare to be found and so far Aries Noodles is the first place that offers the authentic taste of bakmi ayam, and of course the BEST! Freshly handmade by Aries, the noodle has great texture. Combined with the tasty chicken and healthy chinese cabbage, a bowl of bakmi ayam with chilli will definitely satisfy your longing of good bakmi back in Indonesia. And it will cost you only € 8 a bowl! Other than bakmi, Aries Noodles also offers unique snacks that you rarely really find anywhere else. Try the mochi kacang, nastar, martabak manis, usus goreng, and many more! Food is one thing that will bring me back here, but the ambience and friendliness of the owner and staff really make me feel home. So, if you are an Indonesian and you have not tried it, you don’t know what you’re missing ;) And if you are not an Indonesian, you should really try the authentic bakmi ayam… and of course the ambience may make you feel that you are in Indonesia ;) Happy eating!
