Restaurant 95

We found this place bc of a mistake at a restaurant down the street. It was not crowded, the food was great, especially the chicken with spicy sweet sauce. The wait staff was terrific-​attentive, but not hovering and very accommodating. Décor is nice and the noise level made it easy to have a conversation. Highly recommended. I travel about 50% of my time for work, so I eat out a lot.
Don’t pay attention to my friend Rory, he doesn’t get out much :)

Ok, So I don’t write reviews, in fact, this is my first ever. I just had such a bad experience at NO95 I just had to write about it.
The first course came in good time and the food was good with no real issues. We then ordered our main course. 45 minutes later I enquired to the waitress to see if our meal was on its way. She came back to the table to say that nothing had been ordered other than what we had already had. She ran into the kitchen and they started to make our main, not once did we receive an apology or any explanation. 25 minutes later our food finally arrived, which was decent, although missing a major ingredient that we hadn’t been informed of until the food was at our table.
We then, probably a mistake, decided to order dessert because it had an item that one of us hadn’t eaten in years. 30minutes later, the dessert arrived. Again with no apology or explanation.
Finally, it was time to pay. I brought up the fact that we had been in the restaurant for 2 and a half HOURS. The waiter who forgot our order told me that «this is a restaurant, you wait for your food», what do you expect. I said that I don’t expect an hour wait for food at a restaurant that only has 12 other people in it. The replied with the same comment, again, no apology and no nothing. We paid the bill and will never return, I would advise you to steer well clear and try another one of the restaurants down the street.

A wonderful place. Great relaxed atmosphere, warm friendly service and fantastic food. We were passing, went in by chance and could not have been happier. Only open a few months and is going to do really well.

I wish I was this lucky every time I stop at a random restaurant. Outstanding fresh food, extremely friendly staff, from waitress to chef. No 95 is not to be missed if your in Amsterdam on holiday. If you live in Amsterdam, your missing out by not eating at this wonderful establishment.

Delicious! The food is SO incredibly fresh and light! Everything was delightful. Flavors were excellent! Only a few little hiccups in the service but they are newly open and I’m sure this will iron out by itself. I will be back for sure to try more of the menu!
Quaint, cozy, sexy atmosphere. Really lovely!
