3.5 stars The more AH stores I visit, the more confused at get at consistency… there isn’t any. Layouts are nearly the same(thanks to old buildings), products are not the same, and sometimes you just can’t figure out where they would put something. This store is a funky layout in my opinion, but they do have a clean store and seem to always be stocking up. And for some reason I do like the cubby nature of this one. I mean that you walk into some larger enclaves so you are out of the people just walking through to get to another area. That’s kind of nice. And the kicker here… they have cinnamon ice cream. OMG. They did not have it at the closest one to me, so this made my day! I love the location and you can hit it on your way home since it’s on a major road(Amsterdam standards). Like most though, more bike parking would be lovely. If you don’t have the bonus card yet, DOIT!

While I do prefer shopping @ AH for groceries this location just doesn’t do it. Even compared to smaller location they often don’t have everything you need and because it’s on a very busy location there also ‘often’ sold out of particular items. The ah store on the Kinkerstraat is smaller for example but has more products(that suit my needs.). Despite of the above and that ah in General is more expensive than other grocery stores I still go to this place every day. So it’s probably good enough ;-)

Few grocery stores abroad have excited me as much as this one. It’s almost like a Whole Foods in that it has a fantastic selection of products that make you want to basically cook everything you see. Also it’s painfully inexpensive, especially compared to the shops in Belgium I’ve been forced to endure the past couple weeks. Uitstekend!
