The food was good but not great. Pretty standard fare. I had steak and prawns. Prawns had their eyes looking at me.. The Mrs had brochettes on skewers which she enjoyed. Too much food for her. We both had French fries that were typically thick cut and just fine. Staff was wonderful. Attentive. It was a warm and humid night, just right to be outside. Ventured inside just as far as the bar as they couldn’t process credit card outside. Tacky cow motif but then it is a steakhouse. All in all a pleasant experience.

OK right next to the Red Light District in Amsterdam, on one of the narrow streets surrounding the Central District near the canal museums, and Leidseplein Square. An electric atmosphere even in the rain! My daughter and I shared the
Argentino, though there was enough meat to feed a family of six – ribs, pulled pork, chicken, and the best steak you will ever have! My wife had a 24 oz T-​Bone that was absolutely delectable (I had to taste it). My son had a perfectly prepared medium rare Strip – whomever said that Europeans cook everything well done was wrong. Topped off with an outstanding bottle of vino, this experience was absolutely terrific. Family vacation to Amsterdam? Dine here!

There are tons of places advertising their Full English breakfast’s here. This isn’t one of the good ones. If you didn’t have the unlucky adventure of being married to an Englishman for two decades, here is what an English breakfast should be, eggs, bacon, sausage, fried tomato, mushrooms, beans, toast and jam. What I got her for a whopping 12 Euros, was egg, sausage, dry toast and beans, and a couple of mushrooms from a can. When I inquired about where the rest was they brought me some bacon that was slightly warm an mostly raw. Two stars because there were some adorable kittens playing the whole time we were here. Maybe they have great steaks but I wasn’t about to go back and try. Do yourself a favor and try breakfast at one the other places down the road.
