My very first toko experience! I find it interesting what kind of ethnic food is predominate in other countries and soon realised I could find good Indonesian food in NL. Love using my Unilocal app to find a place that was close by and this place popped up. Good thing we checked the time early because we decided to just picked up a few things late afternoon to heat up for dinner later. It is almost overwhelming to see so much variety which kinda looks very similar. The pressure!!! We ended up picking a beef and chicken curry with portion of rice along with some veggie thing with coconut, some of the orange prawn crackers and an egg with a curry sauce. The chicken curry was more like a spicy sweet sauce which was okay. The curry beef was AMAZING — so flagrant and super tender. The chicken was really spicy and packed with a good punch of flavor. The veggies with coconut was the most interesting for me. I couldn’t stop eating it. The prawn crackers were so good as well. There are a couple of tables there if you want to eat in but ideally it’s a take away place. Also they have a bunch of cooking supplies if you wanna have a go and trying to good Indonesian food.

I love everything they sell in this shop, from their springrolls, their sate, their gado gado to the soto ayam soup they sell on Fridays. So whats the problem? Well I discovered this place as a student and well theyre more expensive then the average toko, not really affordable on a students buget. But then agai, they are way better than the average toko, they might even be 1 of the best in the Adam area. Still cant affort to buy yumminess here regularly now that Im in between jobs, but maybe Ill appreciate this little gem more once I get a real job and I wont have time to cook or write reviews on Unilocal

I enjoyed a great vegetarian meal here. I got there near closing time and my waiter /cook /owner handed me a non English menu and did not speak English. It was laughable the two of us trying to communicate about menu options so he took me back to the kitchen and asked me to point out things that I’d like and not like in my meal. We settled on a couple of dishes and just laughed and laughed. He came out to my table and pulled up a chair and made sure that my meal was enjoyable. A very memorable experience on so many levels. I so look forward to another visit there one more time before I die. YUM! YUM!
