BF is such a good option when you can’t be bothered fronting the stove. The current favourites are the CN Cheese and the third pounder with cheese but occasionally there is a walk on the wild side with a xxx For sides — spud fries or kumara who can choose so it is just as well that there are usually some of each in the order. Overall — highly recommended.

So … Where have I been all my life!!! Relaxing with my people on a Friday night in front of the fire, we decided take-out was the go. Burger Fuel they said! Never having sampled their burgers, what did I have to lose, I asked myself?!! Well — what a surprise — I have just consumed THE best burger. E.V.E.R. I ordered a C N Cheese burger. And a side order of spud fries with aioli. My burger was juicy, tasty, medium rare and more tender than a baby’s bottom!!! The Parmesan, lettuce, tomato, onion and pickle was the perfect complement, enrobed in a fresh and gorgeous bun. Juicy and satisfying to the max. This was well, it was — orgasmic! The whole of Milford had a cigarette!!! The spud fries were perfection and the accompanying aioli didn’t hold back … Suddenly I was in Gilroy, California again, the home of garlic. Bliss! Why have I never encountered Burger Fuel before? I do not know. But I plan on making this amazing joint a regular take-out staple!

Good ol’ Burger Fuel. The best way to satisfy those burger cravings when you are on the run. This branch was super busy on a late Saturday afternoon, a constant stream of customers, the tables filled, the kitchen rammed with busy kitchen staff. Really efficient service as there were two people on the tills, and very quick turnover of orders. It was a little difficult to hear the order numbers being shouted out when orders were ready, and is quite small compared to other burger fuel outlets. Still think the fries are a bit expensive and the milkshake only comes in one(large) size. But, overall a good experience!

Last night Mum and I had a hankering for burgers and so we set out to try the brand new spot in Castor Bay, Little Salt, which everyone has been raving about but on arrival we were told that they had run out of baps. Whaddya mean?! A burger joint with no baps. Anyway, I digress, this review is about Burger Fuel, which it didn’t take long to figure out was the solution to our problem. A cheeky u-turn and quick phone call later and we were back on the road to burger glory. When we arrived, BF was packed but, like a trusty steed, our burgers were still ready and waiting. How about the burgers? Well, normally I go for the 1⁄3 pounder w cheese but since it was a Friday I decided to be a bit wild and order the chicken bacon backfire. It was huge and had just the right amount of chix breast, bacon, lettuce, tomato with lashings of relish and aioli. Was is the most gourmet, well thought out, well put together burger I have ever had? No. But was it finger-licking delicious? Yes. We most will definitely be back.
