Twentyone

Twenty One is nothing like some of the other bars in town — you do get a sense of classy and sophistication here. There’s not so much drunken banter and groping here, but that doesn’t mean to say it isn’t fun.
In fact I have come here in the past with friends for that reason alone. The bar does some really good drinks, and there is ample seating available for people who are wanting to enjoy a drink without getting up on the dancefloor. Oh yes, the dancefloor. Populated by an older crowd than those in other Auckland clubs, and the music sometimes reflects this, however they play a range of ‘young person’ music too.
The most sleazeball moment we had here was from one of the bartenders himself, who hit heavily on my friend. But that’s about it.
And be sure you go into the bathrooms here, even if you don’t need to go. They’re so pretty.
