The website for this place makes it seem a lot fancier than it really is. I mean, it really is just a fish and chips shop. And it does good chips. But it also just looks like a fish and chip shop. Your standard, every day, regular local chippie. It’s even called ‘Chips’ (in case you’re not familiar with French, ‘pommes frites’ are the French words for chips). There’s absolutely nothing wrong with this place, but if you think it’s going to be like what its website makes it seem like, you might find yourself disappointed.
Anyway, aside from good chips it has at least one smiley, friendly staff member who gave me my order when it was ready. The lady who took my order wasn’t quite so warm (why did she look so confused when I put my money on the counter? It was the exact amount) but I can certainly let that slide since the other guy made up for it.
