A sweet, little café set in the ground floor of a building corner– just opposite the library. A two glass-​walled space with a lemon tree decal, a main-​road facing window bench with magazines and newspapers to browse and then wall-​side tables with few seats around them. A small outside table also if the weather is good. Simply decorated with prints, a whiteboard of drinks and lots of natural light shining through to their small cabinets of sweets and savouries. Range of coffees and cold drinks– got their flat white which was good. Friend got a very frothy cute little hot chocolate in a different coloured mug with saucer.
Keen to come back to try their cabinet or menu and revisit their lovely staff. Good choice if in the Birkenhead area.

I was on a mission for a really good coffee before I took baby to the library and I knew I needed to check out the café opposite Birkenhead Library as it was on my list.
I arrived just before 3 pm, which is when they close for the day, and the café was empty except for the lovely couple who own and work in the café.
I ordered my mocha and decided on a delicious looking date scone at the counter.
The café was really immaculate and neat and with lots of sunshine streaming in, just the perfect place to spend the afternoon gazing out on the busy Rawene street in Birkenhead.
My coffee was amazing, perfectly made with a real chocolate caffeine kick.
I was well impressed with my afternoon coffee and will be back on my next library trip.

Looking for somewhere a bit quieter for a coffee or breakfast with a friend, try this small but very cute and pretty café located just opposite the Birkenhead library.
They do the standard coffee, tea, drinks, cakes as well as breakfast with specials such as eggs on toast with coffee — great value for money. They are a lovely friendly café and also have high chairs available if you wish to take your baby, there is also a convenient car park just next door.
The lady who makes the food also takes a real pride in her food, she uses different shapped bread or cuts the bread in different ways and arranges it nicely on the plate.
Oh and they also have some nice views from the café.
