Cafe Crema

An excellent little café located on Park Road in Grafton. I worked nearby and use to come here on a daily basis. What I remember most about that time was the Asian couple who ran the place — they were super super friendly. I think in general staff are friendly in most cafes in Auckland but these were a cut above the rest. We’d would often chat for about ten minutes even though it was in the middle of their busy lunch hour. It was my first few months living in Auckland but this couple made me feel right at home. As regards the food and coffee, I can tell you now they were excellent — which is why I went there every day. Coffee was smooth and rich and I often use to get a smoked salmon bagel — it was really good and unlike a lot of other cafes they were generous with the salmon. Unfortunately, I have never had a chance to go back there but I passed by in the car recently and saw that couple were still there. I wish them well with their café.
