Best views in Auckland ! If your keen to take the trek up cliff road you will be rewarded with a stunning sight !! Looking back towards the Auckland port skyline you can see large container ships docking and ferries going about there daily business . The road gets shut off at night right at the end, I suppose to discourage lovers ? And there are some jaw-dropping Mansions to look at too . My fave is this Tuscan style one. I love how there are some older style bungalows mixed in with futuristic million dollar monstrosities . Bring a lunch, take in the view and be glad for what it is.

Amazing views of the harbor and islands from here. Bring a picnic lunch(there are benches to sit on) and take in the views. Think about the HMS Achilles and her crew and the important role they played in the Battle of the Atlantic. On the way in and out, look at the homes of the rich and famous and imagine living here.

Achilles Point is located in the quiet seaside suburb of St Heliers and harbours some of the most amazing views of the coast and surrounding area of North Shore from such an easy to reach location. Standing at the end of Cliff Road, the spot is the perfect place to begin or end a walk all the way along the stunning coastline, hitting St Heliers, Kohimarama and Mission Bay beaches along the way. It takes a while but is the perfect way to spend a summer afternoon. The Point itself is dedicated to the crew of the HMS Achilles, who were victorious in battle in the South Atlantic in 1939 and there is a plaque that proudly states this in prized place there. If you’re looking for a cheap but beautiful spot for a date, at sunset the view from Achilles Point is also amazing, with the nearby fountain lit up in colour and the city lights twinkling in the distance making it really romantic.
