If you’re a little nervous about getting your driver’s license, this particular branch at Meadowlands is well known for being extremely strict and unkind. had to re-​sit my full license multiple times here, to the point where I just felt like they were on a vendetta to make me fail. Of course, they were probably just being that way due to strict rules, but it really made me feel awful. The receptionist seemed genuinely sad for me when I failed and rebooked 4 times, but the instructors were very hardened to my woes.
It’s gotten smaller there over the years, but you know, the AA are pretty awesome when it comes to rescuing you in the middle of the night when your tyre just exploded. Can’t complain about that! Just avoid this branch if you’re sitting your license. Go to Manukau or somewhere less daunting.
