Located near the center of Sayulita you will find Mary’s Tacos. For sure the best and most authentic taco spot we have come across in Sayulita. We had a quesadilla, shrimp and carne asada tacos. Very good and worth the price!

First let me say that our food was very good. My husband had tasty fish tacos with lots of fresh fish and I had a very good chile relleno –no complaints there. However, the service wasn’t so great, and the guacamole we had ordered never came –but we still got charged for it! I ordered a margarita, but when I saw the large glass it came in I realized I had probably made a mistake. It was awful. It just tasted like sweet, cloying nasty margarita mix –ugh. My husband’s wine was pretty bad too – best to stick to beer. But, like I said, the food was good.

We just spent a week at an all inclusive resort and wanted to see Sayulita. This came as a recommendation by a jewelry shop manager we popped into. So glad we got this tip. This was the best meal of our trip. The fajitas were the best– beef and chicken were both great. Whatever sauce they use should be bottled and sold. We also had the nachos– huge order. I got a carne asada quesadilla and loved it. The rice and beans were great too. I would highly recommend this as a casual little spot to have a delightful lunch. I hope to make it back to Sayulita next year and this will be one of my first destinations.

Just plain awesome. Where on earth can you feed a family of four for 200 pesos? Best tacos I’ve ever had. Nice set of salsas, perfect spiciness in them all. They do hand made corn tortillas. if you are looking for vegetarian options look no further!

Ate a quite many restaurants in Sayulita but Mary’s is the far winner. We came here for our first and last night just to eat their chili rellenos. probably the best chili relleno in town. good service(they speak english with bilingual menus if you are in a bind).

Insanely good. At a loss for words. I tasted some flavors here id never had before– on dishes I’m accustomed to eating. The fish tacos for example are spiced sooooo delicately. I could wax poetic here but let’s keep it simple. This place is wickedly yummy. And not expensive at all for the level they’re offering. Bam!

Lalo was a great waiter! Had some amazing chilaquiles, chicken flautas, shrimp tacos and of course chile rellenos! We were there for 7 days and probably went to Mary’s almost every day! The extra spicy salsa is KILLER!

I had chicken enchiladas with mole and they were amazing. The chicken was perfectly cooked, not overdone. Good flavor and the mole sauce was fantastic! And the service is also wonderful!

Of the four sauces they give you they are as follows of spice. Green coolest, chunky red next, smooth red and the black oil one. The Black is freaken hot. We had breakfast here one morning, great, cheap and super good home made thick corn tortillas. Two people with coffee and two plates, about 10 dollars.

Outside of the 13 pesos carnitas and late night spot on the corner, this is the taco joint we hit up the most while in Sayulita. It was definitely our favorite, and the shrimp(camaron) quesadilla and fish(pescado) tacos kept us coming back. You can’t go wrong with anything fish or shrimp on the menu, but the fish taco is one of the better ones I’ve had. It was also one of my first forays into a quesadilla that is not just two tortillas drenched in cheese and pressed on a grill. There carnitas was tasty as well, but I would recommend the carnitas guy on the corner of Pelicanos if you are solely going that way. They have indoor and outdoor seating. The outdoor seating takes sidewalk seating to the street, but so do most places on the main roads here. The service is friendly and attentive. You won’t wait long for your food, but every table gets chips and 4 different salsas to enjoy while they wait. When they say, «this one is hot.’ They mean it.

We had Great chili rellenos at this restaurant. They have cheese and shrimp versions and were excellent.
