J’ai adoré ! Burger avec de la vraie bonne viande. Tout plein de sauces à disposition. Servi dans un petit panier avec le pain estampillé «TEXAS». Les serveurs sont très gentils et au petit soin et ce n’est pas mega cher.

My fiancé and I were walking down fifth Avenue hungry as can be and we saw this place and thought why not, let’s have some burgers. We decided to go inside to cool off a bit but it didn’t really make a difference. There were four tables inside and two were occupied. One by a family and another one with a computer and papers off over the table. I believe the manager was sitting there. Since today was Fourth of July they had a free drink. They told us we could chose from some options so I chose a piña colada and my fiancé chose a frozen margarita. They both were too strong and too sweet. It was really hard to drink. When we ordered our drinks we also ordered our food at the same time. We waited at least 35mins for our appetizer and another 15 minutes for our entrée. We ordered the wings and they came out all stuck together. They were ok. While we we waiting for our food a few more groups came in. One was a group of four guys sitting at an 8 person table. At that time the manager was sitting next to us on his computer and he told the waitress to tell the guys to move to one side because there was only four of them. The guys weren’t small. They needed room for themselves and they wanted to watch the soccer game that was on. Naturally the guys didn’t want to move. They ended up walking out. Good for them. It’s the business’s loss of the drinks and food they were going to consume. The manager shouldn’t be taking up space to do his work if he is so concerned with the table situation. The burgers we ordered were ok. My bacon was undercooked and i didn’t finish it . The only good thing about the place was the bus boy. He did a great job and was very nice but besides that I would not be coming back here.

If I can give this place 0 stars I would. Came here at about 11pm last night and from the start it was bad. The specials that were posted outside all ended at 9pm so that was annoying. When our food came Out my parents chicken strips were literally a 8 hour old piece of chicken breast that look like it had been fried 5 times. It was also cold so they sent it back and didn’t eat. Which is exactly what we should have done. My brother and I got wings and they call it a quesadilla when it’s actually 3 rolled tacos. 2 hours had passed and my brother has not stopped vomiting and we both have severe diarrhea to the point where we can’t even get out of bed on our last day of vacation. I walked by the kitchen on the way to the bathroom and this place was filthy!!! DONOTEATHEREIFYOUDONTWANTTOGETFOODPOISONING

Beer, Burgers, Nachos, Onion Rings. Beer they have any kind you want. Burgers my favorite is the Texas burger, nice juicy meat, fries the bun says Texas on it. All the onions pickles tomatoes comes on the side. Nachos– carne asada nachos were to die for the meat was delicious and soft. Onion rings– like I didn’t even think they knew what they were LOL The music is like Alternative rock, Artic Monkeys, Foster the people, etc. I felt like I was at home. My wife and I along with our daughter went here to have lunch. The place was clean and comfortable. The wait staff was GREAT and friendly. The food was awesome especially the guacamole and chips. I had the bacon burger and it tasted amazing and filled me up for sure. You would think that a place called TEXASBURGERS in Mexico wouldn’t have great mexican food… it was BETTER than the resort we were staying at. You can get Free Internet while there which was handy in planing our shopping. The waitress was helpful and suggested place to go to and orientated us in the right direction. She spoke really good english so communication wasn’t a problem. We also paid in CASH… US dollars. So, conversion wasn’t an issue and fees as well. The rate at the time was 12.5 to 1. The place next door was 14 to 1.

From a real Texan, they need to learn a lot more about service and hospitality! Took 30 min. To get a burger that was fair at best. Fries over cooked, quesadilla was not good. This place would last a month in Texas! Go elsewhere in area and enjoy your food. To add insult to injury they try to screw you on check by converting at 12:1, when actual rare is close to 15:1! Pay in peso or use cc that doesn’t charge foreign transaction fee!

This place is really good. Surprisingly, the best food I had in Playa actually. Service is attentive and the ambiance is nice.

Staying at the Iberostar for 8 nights, we were sick of resort food. The buffet was awful and tasteless. We decided to venture into town to try and get some real food to prep us for heading home. On our last night, 8/20, we went to the Texas Burger Co. First let’s talk about the service. The hostess was fine, friendly, and took us to our seats and informed us of some great deals. Juan was our waiter and he was very nice and sincere and did a great job catering to us. There were two other people involved as well. One guy who came by and literally took napkins out of our hand after every use, and another who brought the food. WAY too many people involved in the process, but they were all pleasant so it was OK. We sat indoor in the AC. The indoor seating is limited and most is outdoor. The bar area is nice and the place looks nice and modern. The food: First we ordered a special, buffalo wings and 4 drinks(soda, water, cocktail, or draft beer) for only 169 pesos. Without the 4 drinks it would’ve been 145, so for 2 $ usd extra you get 4 drinks. Pretty awesome deal. The wings were huge and not normal looking but were very good. They also came with blue cheese and carrots, celery, and sliced cucumber which was a nice touch. The four drinks we chose were 2 diet cokes, a bottle of water, and a house sangria. With free drinks all week long we didn’t take much advantage here. The sangria was good. For the entrees, my girlfriend ordered the smokehouse burger and did not specify how she would like it cooked. When it was delivered she was not impressed with the BBQ aspect, however it was better than anything at the resort and the fries were quite good as well. She was very happy with her burger. I ordered the Big Boy burger and specified medium. I should’ve kept my mouth shut. The food looked good the first bite but halfway through I started to hear it MOO. Still I figured if I die eating this it tastes better than anything I’ve had the last week so what the heck. Disappointed on the temperature but still pretty good. Patties are frozen and not made in house which is disappointing, however each burger has Gouda cheese which I am not used to on a burger and thoroughly enjoyed. Overall I would’ve given this place a 3.5. Food has potential for the area however not impressed with the undercooking. Juan was a great waiter. Also, if you see Servicio Sugerido that is the same thing as Propina, aka TIP, which is automatically added. The total was around $ 50 us which is expensive for a lunch in Mexico. Had we gotten 4 cocktails it might’ve lessened the blow. If we come back to PDC, I would come back for the wings and fries, and maybe a burger well done if I were craving some decent food.

This place is clean with friendly and quick service. Went in with my sister and mother in need of some decent food, Texas Burger did a good job of hitting the spot. Located along 5th Ave in Playa Del Carmen, this restaurant fits into the commercial feel of the street. Had a smokehouse burger because bacon rules my life. It said it has BBQ sauce, but the burger came out really light on the sauce(contrary to what you’d see in the states, which is usually heavy on the sauce). The patty was tasty, but not the best I’ve ever had. I will say, this place has some of the best fries. Crisp and hot just like I like them. They had a special going where you but any of their burgers and you got two drinks(alcoholic or non) for 40 pesos. That’s about $ 4 with their conversion rate(10 pesos to the dollar). Be aware their rates aren’t the same as what you’d get in a bank for conversion, but the rate seems different for every single place you shop at in the area. Honestly, we stopped into this place because it was miserably hot and I couldn’t stand shopping/being badgered one second longer. It turned out to be a good decision. I’d be okay to stop here again.

Disappointing burgers. But what would you expect from a faux-Texas burger joint in Playa whose only possible link to Texas is the inclusion of BBQ on ONE of their hockey pucks masquerading as edible meat? The fries are good; I’ll give them that. But it’s otherwise a joke to pay $ 10 – 15USD for a terrible burger that wouldn’t be acceptable at your summer pool’s snack bar.
