We came to Mexico City for a concert and decided to stay in an affordable hotel close to the venue. This hotel started off good and ended up awful. The worst part was the bathrooms, horrible. Had one old window that when opened it faced the windows of other rooms. It also smelled old and moldy. The beds were decent. The TV was also in a good location. Wi-fi was actually pretty good. I know we get what we pay for, especially since we paid $ 150 dollars for four nights. The staff was pretty friendly. The most annoying part was that they had people coming in and out making noise at all times during the night. Housekeepers were walking in the hallways and loading their carts very early in the morning. By far the last night was the worse. At 1am they had workers moving furniture from the room next to us for about an hour. Overall the noise factor was a huge issue. I’d definitely never go back.

– Great location & value. Has underground parking, but it won’t fit an SUV. Next to the Pino Suarez metro station, where metro lines 1&2 cross. 7 minute walk to the Zocalo. I stayed there in December 2014, they were renovating the hotel. I had a room that faced the street, the noise of the amplified music and touts from the shops on Pino Suarez punches right through the windows, so you’ll need earplugs if you want to sleep before 10pm. The hotel advertises WiFi & a public computer, but it often doesn’t work. The credit card terminal also often has«problems», so bring cash just in case. Great selection of street food & bars near the hotel, as well as a decent in-house restaurant. They have laundry in the hotel, but it’s expensive(MXN$ 200). Some of the day staff speak English & German, but have decent Spanish at the ready.

… o me cuentan …
