The food here is so so only, the only satisfying thing about having your lunch here is you are able to cook your own food with some very flavorful sauces. For its price(RM20) i highly doubt i will come here again, because the taste of the food is NOT worth more of a RM10 meal, especially when you’re doing all the cooking. But its still worth trying once for the cooking experience… i think :/

Uuh, what can i say. The food is really only so so. Yes you do get the satisfaction of cooking your own food, and they do have a good selections of sauces but in more ways than one, I think the whole thing is just a gimmick. The teriyaki chicken with extra cheese I ordered was a let down because of the measly portion of meat. Sigh. It looked so nice in the photographs. Also, one tablespoon of cheese is in no way«Extra». The pepper wasn’t too overpowering, so that part I was happy with.

I do like peppery food so pepper lunch definitely appealed to me when I first saw it. They have quite a decent range of menu with different types of meat available such as beef, chicken, salmon and even steak. The concept of pepper lunch is simply a sizzling plate which you cook your own food in it. Naturally as a carnivore I went for their beef rice. Pricing wise, it isn’t the cheapest food around at an average of Rm15−20 depending if you order it with a set or not. Rm6 for a set which consist of a drink and soup isn’t very worth it to me. Their cup is also quite small so i definitely wouldn’t opt for their set. Their food however is pretty good and the cooking experience is fun as well as you are suppose to mix the food together with sauces they provided. From this experience, you get to see which one of your friends has never step foot in the kitchen in their life as some of my friends ended up burning their meat.

It was actually quite some time that I had lunch with a bunch of my college mates at Pepper Lunch after we went through a stressful week. Pepper lunch. It may sounds like some sort of spicy food which actually not. Well not to exaggerate but it may apply to some people that can’t even consume that bit of pepper. For me, it is just some sort of normal meaty meal. Seriously it is below average. It taste so normal that I quietly promised myself not to visit again. I rather visit some hawker stall for nasi lemal or tom yam fried rice! Atleast you don’t pay rm 17 for a not-so-special and tasteless meal. Quite a bad experience if you ask me. Nobody will willing to pay so much with lesser expectation towards it. I don’t really recommend you to try it, trust me, it doesn’t worth a cent.

The Pepper Lunch restaurant was something new to me. I’ve seen the dishes before but I never tried , today I went off and tried one at the branch in Sunway Pyramid. I like the whole concept of the dishes. I’m sure most of you know what Teppanyaki is right? Well, this is exactly the same but they serve the meat and chicken in blazing hot pans and basically you cook it yourself based on your preference. The décor is lively and fun-looking. I like the atmosphere and how you order the food; which is like ordering fast food but your food is sent to your table. I had taken the BBQ beef and chicken as my dish which costs RM21.80 ala carte and you just have to add another RM6 for set meals. The service was fast but the workers, well, not so happy-go-lucky. I felt quite scared when ordering my food. The wait for the food to arrive at our table did not take long at all. It was nice and hot. But you still have to be careful and watch out for that hot pan. The food was delicious. Japanese food isn’t something we eat everyday after all and this was a good pace changer for me. I would definitely come back here again to try their other dishes.
