Personally I disagree with breathing in carbon monoxide while I’m having lunch but it’s the only way you get to enjoy Korean barbecue. The rice ball seems to be what everyone comes here for but I find it to be very underwhelming. What is really awesome is the octopus and Kimchi

It’s my 1st time dining at this outlet. I used to try once in mont kiara and also empire damansara. I always hesitate to dine here for lunch as I worry that I’ll smell like I just cooked a massive meal. I worry I’ll stink after a meal but this time rather than just assuming it will stink, I head there to check it out myself. The Restaurent is located at the square on level one. But they do have an entrance from ground floor right beside gao ren guan Chinese Restaurent. For lunch you could order a set for 2 that includes a soup, kimchi jjigae or sundubu jjigae, 1 grilled chicken or grilled beef comes with fresh lettues, 1 steam egg, 5 types of banchan and 2 rice. It’s only rm40. Totally worth every penny. The owner of the shop is Korean, so the food there is quite authentic. They are actually quite famous for their bbqs at other outlets. I shall try that next time. There are indoors seating with air on and outdoors for smokers too:)

Fan of Korean BBQ, rejoice! Sae Me Eul has started operating in Jaya One, and finally we have one more restaurant to have our lunch. The interior is very simple with both limited indoor and outdoor seating. Personally, I would recommend to take the outdoor seats if the weather is good, as you wouldn’t want to smell like BBQ after your meal. Sae Ma Eul offer set lunch — a choice of bbq chicken or bbq pork + side dishes and steamed egg + kimchi stew or soft tofu stew. We chose the bbq pork with soya sauce and kimchi stew and added on a cold ramyun. If you are not a big eater, these are definitely enough to be shared among 3 person. The varieties of the side dishes were quite limited but they were well-seasoned especially the kimchi and pickled cucumber. Absolutely love the crunch! The kimchi stew was pack with kimchi flavours but wasn’t too over-whelming. In fact, it’s very appetizing. The cold ramyun is highly recommended especially during a hot day. The cold kimchi broth was very refreshing, and they were generous with the portion too. The star of the day would have to be the bbq pork. It was tender and well-marinated! We couldn’t have enough of the pork and were wishing for more! Overall, it was an extremely satisfying lunch and we are already planning to drop by the place again in 2 days time! Our bill came to about RM57 for 3 person — which I felt was worth the money. If you are looking for a decent Korean restaurant nearby Jaya One area, Sae Ma Eul would be a good choice.
