On my search for good coffee in Subang Jaya, I was recommended by a friend to try Fling Stones. The name itself through me off because it’s so funny haha but I can safely say that the coffee is good! You can tell that the barista takes good care of all the coffee he makes because he seems like he’s very meticulous with the way he cleans the filters, makes the latte art and etc! Always a plus to see passionate baristas :) All the coffees that I’ve tried were great. Not burnt, not diluted, just plain good. And FINALLY, someone who knows how to make a real cappuccino with firm foam! I like my cappuccinos similar to how the Italians make it haha The place itself is super nice and comfy. Very homey, warm and well decorated. Definitely Instagram worthy. And they have free wifi! The staff members are very friendly and quick to accommodate you too. So if definitely recommend this café! It’s great

Every time this café is mentioned amongst my friends, I always joke that the founders of this café didn’t know how to spell«Flinstones» and went for«Flingstones» instead(haha, inside joke, haha). Anywho, despite the questionable name, this café is pretty good! I love the décor at the entrance, filled with colourful tiles and random knick knacks. While it is air conditioned inside for when the weather gets cruel, the is also a separate outdoor dining area that is shaded too so you can get fresh air while still being protected from the harsh sun rays of Malaysia’s weather. The interior décor of the place is cute and quaint, with random wall paintings, flower decorations and vases as well as miniature figurines and statues that sit on the tables and counters of the café, make this place inviting and homely. Although they have a full dining menu(that is not big), I came here mainly for dessert and coffee so had a taste of their affogato which was really good, with the taste of the espresso perfectly complimenting the sweet scoop of vanilla ice cream. The sparking blueberry drink was a unique concept and actually tasted really sweet and refreshing! A great way to cool down on a hot and humid day. Overall, despite a small menu, this place is great for hanging out and unwinding over coffee and dessert. Definitely a cosy and modern ambience and I see myself coming back for more visits in future!

This café provides the best space to work at in the morning, when it is still quiet and empty. It tends to get busier in the afternoon when students from the nearby Inti and Taylor’s college drop by to have lunch. The simplicity of the décor and layout of the café makes the stay very comfy. You cannot go wrong with the Big Bang Breakfast(RM24) that comes with a generous portion of baked beans, mushrooms, salad, bacon, potato rosti, sausage and eggs. I had all that washed down with a hot creamy cup of latte. Very centrally situated in SS15(right next to Asia Café), the lack of parking spaces may be the only factor that’s stopping you from coming here.

Came across this cosy looking café one day in SS15 and I thought to myself, «Another Café?» There just seems to be an endless supply of cafes around certain hotspots like SS15 and powered by my curiosity to see how they stood out from the rest, I decided to go in anyway. They have quite an interesting menu and serves not just pasta’s but main courses as well. Their angel hair spaghetti certainly has its uniqueness with it looking like a cross between chinese mee and italian pasta as its cooked with bacon, cherry tomatoes and pork fat. They also have ribs which is surprising but further research on this place revealed that one of their chefs is from Riblees so i guess that explains things. Half a slab would cost you Rm 26 while a whole slab would cost Rm33. No doubt which one I’d go for.

This café opened late last near and it’s near to my church office, so my pastors and elders hang out here alot and I had to check it out. I’m digging the color contrast of the place. The shop is in black, as in the walls and their counter but the rest that needs to be seen are colored differently like the front door, the wooden tables and the lights are perfect. And I like the artistic drawings of some canvases and on the wall. The coffees are good, they have some unique coffees made here like the Gula Melaka coffee. It’s the sweet coffee type with local flavor touch. Basically instead of adding brown sugar they use Gula melaka syrup. Their hazelnut hot chocolate has an amazing taste, sinful mostly. There are alot of variety of drinks and tea I’ve not tried yet but this is definitely a place I go to before going for worship practice near by. They also have the breakfast meal like the toast and big breakfast. And this catch alot of campus students attention as it is placed infront of Taylor’s college. This is a great spot for hang outs, quiet study time and relaxing. Please check out this place! And try find the mouse stealing the cheese!

This is a kind of café that I loves the most. Serving coffee and hot drinks are too damn mainstream these days at these places. Flingstones Café is doing something odd by serving soda drinks branded Tapping Tapir. The name for the brands kinda catchy and must be the local products. Why? Because Tapir only exist here in Malaysia and not many people from all over the world knows about it. Yeah, the name of the café itself is something different but trust me, it’s just the name. The servers are still humans just like us. Not the prehistorical ones. I don’t know about the owner but I bet his name is not Flintstones either. Okay, let’s get back to the soda. I think it is nice in taste. Just like how soda should taste like. Sweet and tasty. My favourite flavour would be the Hibiscus and Lime. So refreshing and unbelievable. That is the first time I drink something that were extracted by the hibiscus flowers.
