This Hakim is also known as «Hakim Baru»(new Hakim) to differentiate it from another branch«Hakim Lama»(old Hakim) located approximately just a few km away. Both Hakim Baru and Hakim Lama are known for their tasty fried chicken. I cannot be certain that they actually serve Nasi Kandar but the flow of ordering/getting the rice mimics to that of Nasi Kandar’s. Other than that, you can find other usual mamak meals served here. The pricing is of the same range like other mamaks’. Hakim Baru is a very popular hub to watch football games. They have a very big screen here. One can expect to watch EPL, UEFA etc and local games too. Selamanya selamanya. Many fans will assemble here and watch the games together.

Mamak is no longer just a cuisine but also a culture for us Malaysians. There are a place for everybody. Students, businessmen, football fans, couples and also religious experts. The word ‘Jom Mamak’ itself is some kind of greeting that suitable to use for every kind of people. Me myself is not excluded from this outrageous scene. There are too many mamak restaurants here in Shah Alam but it seems that Restoran Hakim is on top of the list. Why? Because they got a hell of fried chicken. Yup, I know. You could get fried chicken from anywhere but in here, its different. Though the cruchiness and the taste can’t beat the KFC’s, I bet the Hakim Fried Chicken(HFC) rank second after that. I don’t have to describe much about other foods. When the fried chicken is delicious, other foods will become delicious as well. The menu is just the same but the tastes are different.
