You might think that Yap Kee is a typical Chinese restaurant but nope. It’s is a restaurant that serve Indian cuisine, Banana Leave! Yap Kee is only part of it mainly selling on drinks. I have a mixed feeling every time I visit this restaurant, hate and love at the same time. Let’s talk about hate first, I hate the long waiting queue especially in the hot sunny day! I hate while I’m eating my foods, peoples are standing beside me, look at you and sending you the sign that they wanted you to finish faster so that they can have your seat. It’s a very small shop with limited seat, so crowds will standing in and outside of the shop waiting for the seat. What about love? FOODS! Good foods! Everyone hate the stupid long queue but for good foods, we are willing to wait. When you got your seat, with immediate respond, the staff will clean up the table and replace with a new banana leaf in front of you, another staff will then come to scoop white rice on top of the banana leaf, others staff then scope the dishes such as veggies, chicken, curry fish and mutton one by one. I would say it’s a swift respond of service. Of course, you can tell them that you don’t want the food but you have to be fast before they scope it and place on your banana leaf. I love their curry mutton and fish the most. The curry taste is very authentic. Use your hand to eat, it’s more delicious to eat this way. Yap Kee is located at the opposite shop of the KTM Klang.
