Ever thought of having steamboat but just don’t have the right people tagging along with you for the big portion? Well there’s an alternative option, a personal size taiwanese steamboat at two pesos. This place is always crowded with people at night, maybe because of the limited seating inside. However the staff would give you the menu & make order from him white waiting. There’s different choices of the steamboat flavour. I would probably recommend going for the Japanese Sukiyaki pot. Tastes pretty good mixing the ingredients into the broth with the sweet japanese soy sauce. Korean kimchi pot turns out to be pretty plain, doesn’t taste so appealing as it sounds. This place’s interior present a cute taiwanese-culture shop house, with bright colorful colors everywhere. Everything other than the steamboat pot itself are self serviced. Price is on the average, food portion is slightly small but perfect if you’re looking for something healthy or less meaty.

Two Pesos is a mini steamboat concept from Taiwan. It have just started its business at SS2 last year August. All the steamboats are served in set. However, the menu is quite different from those we have in other restaurant. When going into the restaurant, the crew will ask whether is it your first time dining at Two Pesos. If it is the first time, they will explain how to choose your set. The price range is between RM10 to RM14. You can also add-on if you feel that the set is not enough to fill up your stomach. All ingredients have been prepared in advance; thus, our food was served within 5 minutes. All food were put in one big bowl; you can just put on the stove and cook all at once. The soup was tasty. However, if you are a meat lover, Two Pesos may not be a great choice for you. Still, you can add on meat slices. If you love vege a lot, then you will more than happy to finish the entire steamboat. Another special thing about Two Pesos is you can take away your steamboat. I guess so far you have not find any steamboat restaurant is providing the same service. Overall, I quite like the concept of Two Pesos; however, it would be better if they can give more meat in their set.
