This is one of my preferred Sushi Tei outlets. Tried the Hotate Toji Udon for the first time and really enjoyed the freshness and the tasty soup. Definitely a must try dish here. Their Kani Ikura Fried Rice is also delicious with big and juicy fish eggs.

My friends and I are avid sushi eating fans and this restaurant used to be the first on our list of best japanese places to eat. I’ve been to this branch a few times as I used to work here in Tropicana and whenever I had a bonus, I would splurge all that hard-earned dough here(lol). Unfortunately, the quality has deteriorated tremendously since those days. I had a horrible experience in their Mid Valley branch once and thought I would come back here to Tropicana a few times to redeem myself from their terrible service and food there but it was no different. I ordered their large Yakiniku Don which is mind you, RM8.80 extra compared to their RM10 small portion but their portions were very much the same if not, disappointing. On top of that, it was served close to being cold along with a lot of other things on their menu(like their unfresh fried Salmon Skin which taste like it’s been kept on the belt for a day) and it was extremely bland I had to immerse my bowl in soy sauce. It took me a while to finish my meal despite it already being a small portion, only because it was really simply bad. Also, their Octopus Sashimi didn’t taste fresh so I had the unfortunate pleasure of spitting it out on a napkin as well. Sushi Tei is known for being on the slightly higher end of the Japanese cuisines bracket but for the price that I pay here, I would rather much spend it elsewhere(even if they’re the only sushi restaurant that I know that serves Butterfish Sushi!) :-(Truly waiting for somebody to rebutt me and contest my claims one day so I can go back to enjoy their food once more.

So many Japanese Restaurants, same option, different Bento’s and different taste. So i came to try out this restaurant and i realized what other Japanese restaurants does not have, is the varieties of Sushi, from salmon to eel to egg to normal sushi to pork slice sushi and many more. SO many SUSHI! If you love Enoki Mushrooms, they got beef wrap with enoki mushrooms and it was so good! My brother ordered the Miso Ramen and it was not bad, soup was not as salt-ish it would be and after adding ingreidents in like pork slice, spring onions and ramen noodle, it because a satisfying Ramen noodle soup. Don’t expect a walk in with seats everytime as they are limited seats. The sushi bar will always be crowded around the conveyor belt choosing their sushi wisely. Always packed, please make reservation. The beef rice(Gyuniku Don) it also very tasty, not too cook beef and perfect timing, the(chicken with rice) Oyako Don is also not bad, chicken was not too hard and easy to eat. Not bad for a place to come here just to eat Sushi

When I was celebrating my brother’s birthday, we thought of giving a try to Sushi Tei which was newly open that period time, It was two years ago. I was mischievous back then(Like now, I am any better, #SAMELOL) To be honest, I love Japanese food. I have love them all my life and Sushi Tei have brought my love towards Japanese food much more deeper. Sushi tei offers one of the«good» sushi in Kuala Lumpur especially around Chinese New Year where the Chinese do «Lou Sang» for better luck of the year, they serve their most utterly luscious and scrumptious Lou sang ever!!! Fresh Salmon are added in the Lou Sang along with their homemade sauce which it more pleasurable and delectable. Oh Gosh!!! So good!!!(RM58++) I am not really sure about their price now but I certainly love they way their distinctive taste. For those who love Japanese Curry, Here Sushi Tei will be the right place for you. They have the best non-spicy/sweet curry don ever despite I don’t like Japanese curry. Thought of letting you guys know. Besides, this branch only serves the best Lou sang at Level 2, Tropical City Mall. I mean delicious and succulent sushi with glorious Lou Sang. Who doesn’t want that?
