My friends and I were hanging out around the area and decided to walk there to get some roast duck. The duck is pretty good albeit a little pricy. They also serve you with soup and I absolutely loved the soup. I personally think the soup is better than the duck haha. Customer sevice is okay considering it’s a traditional Chinese restaurant. It might get a little too hot and stuffy inside the restaurant though so definitely grab those tables outside if you have the chance.

Restaurant Sunrise is definitely one of the go-to place for many roast duck lovers. My dad is one of them and he was the one who introduced Restaurant Sunrise to me. The restaurant is located at Sea Park, diagonally opposite Klinik Mediviron. The restaurant is always crowded during lunch time, and the roast duck are mostly sold out before 2pm. So what’s so great about their roast duck? The skin is crispy and the meat is juicy, the gravy is flavourful yet not greasy. I love to mix the gravy with the rice because it made the rice much more delicious. You’ll be served with a bowl of soup that tasted a bit sour, which is very appetizing. It’s very easy to spot the shop — just look out for a small shop that is packed with customers! Getting a parking space is definitely a problem. It’s advisable for you to go there early or alternatively, you can park your car at the housing area opposite the restaurant and cross the road. The shop can be a bit stuffy, so be prepare to sweat for a bit.

Duck lovers can get their food fix here! I’m not a big fan of duck its looks like chicken but don’t really taste like it but I hear my friends rave about this place all the time. I did try some(just not a whole meal), and having a bite of it on its own is not the same as having a bite of it with the chili that comes with it. They are open every day from 11.30 am onwards until everything is sold out except for Mondays.

If you love duck rice and you happen to live in PJ, chances are you will know of Sunrise Roasted Duck, a place where they sell extremely tasty roasted duck that tastes pretty good for its price. The roasted ducks here are renowned for its meat being tender, its skin being fatty and granting your wish to get a cardiac arrest. Their price, however, is a bit pricey for the portions, but for its taste, you will pay the price in a heartbeat. i mean, it is not everyday that a Malaysian overpays in order to die early and get yourself killed by your own desires right? Right? RIGHT? I kid, I kid. Sunrise is a decent place to go if you want to pay for overpriced duck that tastes amazing, and definitely not your only option to get your plate of heart attacks from.

My friend brought me here once but their roasted duck was sold out. Today, I decided to come with my friend to check it out. We reached here about 12.30 p. m and the restaurant already full of peoples. I’m so afraid that the roasted duck is going to finish again. Lucky enough, duck is still available but I need to wait for 10min to share table with others. We ordered a quarter of roasted duck with veggies. They will serve you a soup as starter which taste sour and appetizing. You should finish it all while it’s still hot. The roasted duck is really great. No wonder my friend said is highly recommended. The skin of the roasted duck taste so crispy while the meat is still juicy and not oily. It cost about RM27 for two rice, two herbal tea, vegetable and quarter of roasted duck. Tell you what, by the time we finish our meal, the roasted duck is already sold out. It’s just 1.30 p.m. And please wear less when you come because is very warm inside the restaurant.

I came here with my colleagues because they were craving for their duck and I was pretty resistant of it because I don’t the odor of it. Well after i tried it I do approve of this place! I don’t know they cook their meat but the ducks do not have any odor and when mixed with their sweet sauce it taste pretty darn good. However, if you’re fond of the«odor» duck meat usually comes with then you wouldn’t like this place. The downside of the place is that the ducks are really skinny hence even a plate of chopped duck is more boney than meaty and it’s rather pricey as well. I spent about RM18 bucks for lunch there! I think duck is more pricey than chicken but still, there is more bones than meat! And if you can’t stand heat, bring a mini fan there, because the place is really really warm in the afternoon. Add in crowds who are swarming over for their duck rice you will be literally turn into a steam duck when you’re done.
