My new FAV sushi place! It is that good! Food is served quickly and everyone is so attentive. A cozy set up, delicious food and reasonably price too. Totally worth it.

Fast and polite service. Lovely good food served quickly and with precision. The flavours are good and the prices reasonable. The only negative is that this place could get addictive!

This place may seem to look a tiny bit secluded if you never actually been here before. It’s located in Isetan’s eateries area, pretty much at the corner of everything. I was introduced by my friend to be here for lunch one day as he claimed that this place serves pretty good sushi. I came and I tried the Unagi and tamago rice. It was pretty good, not the best but so far so good. The portion was rather big for me, but it may be just nice for the rest of you :) I also tried their maki, the dragon maki. It tasted good ;) You can try them out. My friend took the salmon rice and their salmon is really fresh. If I have budget I’ll probably try on their sashimi as well. It looked really fresh. I’m sitting on the sushi bar as there are limited seats available. Sitting next to me was a Japanese couple and it seem like they are regulars of the restaurant. Their menu was in the form of an ipad, once we ordered the food will arrive in the next 10 mins. They are really very efficient. Pricing of food was reasonable and the waiters were really friendly and helpful. Their Ocha was really green and I can even see foam at the top of the cup. Usually other Japanese restaurants will just give us some green tea tea bags/leaves in a pot. But their it seems like they use a different form of green tea, and the best part? It’s refillable and it’s free. :) I will come back to this place again the next time to try out other things.

Everytime I asked myself back then, this place in Isetan has some loud people. Turns out these loud people were the chefs for this Japanese restaurant. Located within Isetan, this particular humble shop serves shashimi and many other sushi that tastes really good. Though I find the place is a little compact. It is quite narrow within the compound but oh well, rent isnt that cheap these days. The chefs are friendly and really loud as I mentioned. The food is good and better than those japanese chain sushi restaurants. The price is also quite reasonable to actually taste good shashimi. Though Im not a big fan of japanese food, I could still tell this is a good restaurant!

I saw images of food from this place on Instagram frequently until I, being a lover of Japanese cuisine, decided I had to check it out with the boyfriend. It is located in a sweet quiet spot within Isetan, One Utama Shopping Mall. At first glance, it is a small and cramp space as compared to the other food outlets nearby. We soon found it to be a nice intimate ambiance as we got to sit at the sushi counter, and had casual conversations with the two Japanese chefs while food was served to us. Ordering food there is a breeze, as you are handed an ipad menu on a wooden stand. You can order your meals in English or Japanese, add to your order any time, check the status of your food, check your accumulated bill and also call for the bill in the end. I tried the salmon and flying fish roe don(RM28.00), which was melt in your mouth delicious! The salmon was fresh and thick. The boyfriend had the salmon sashimi dinner set(RM35.00), that was also pretty good and we got to try the chawanmushi(which came in the set), which was very smooth in the mouth. We heard that the tuna selection at Ichiro was a must try, so we ordered one ootoro nigiri — tuna belly sushi(RM45.00), which is what can only be explained as the Kobe beef of the sea. I still haven’t found words to describe how good it was. The end result was quite an expensive meal, but we felt it was very value for money. I would not hesitate to return to Ichiro. Now whenever someone asks for Japanese food recommendation, I point towards Ichiro Sushi Bar.

This is the place that provides the best sushi and shashimi and town. Screw other sushi bars. This place should be on the top list. The sushi rice was superb. There aren’t many sodium as others. One more thing that makes this place as a WIN is their generous on the fresh ingredients. I recommends the hana roll set, it comes with silky soft cawamushi and an ice cream of choice. Truly out of this world. The ambiance is great and the chef is friendly but the price is a lil bit pricey.
