Even when it is located in one of the worst malls that ever existed in my time, Chicken Hot Pot exceeded my expectations as one of the better places to enjoy your hot pot, and to get a thrill out of it too. Now, most of the dishes are usually spicy, and not that mild at all, so if you do not want to have a cardiac arrest, this is not the place to go to. However, if you are prepared, then this is your sanctuary. Hot, savory chicken is the way to go in this stupidly pissed weather that constantly changes its temperature, and with food this good. Mmm, such awesomeness should not be kept in such a place indeed. This place as in the mall. As it is situated beside a dumpster and near copious amounts of drains, one can only question the hygiene of the food being prepared here. Nevertheless, if the food looks good, just eat it right?

Oh ho, one of my all time favourite spicy food stall. Here is where you can eat spicy food in terms of level of spicyness from mild to extra hot. Personally I always go for the maximum. You choose from chicken, beef, prawn and other ingridients. I love the beef and chicken especially! No offence but for you pansies that cant handle spicyness there is always the mild option but for those who wants a challenge or are raised with tongues made of steel, go for the spicy ones. The soup if im not mistaken is refillable. As for the price, reasonable. The atmosphere has a strong scent of spices so if you are girl, I recommend you wear a hat or cover your hair!

My best friend introduced me to Chicken Hot Pot, and I never looked back since then. The food are served in a claypot, and you can choose between chicken, pork, beef or prawns. I’ve tried the both pork ribs and chicken hot pot, and noted that the gravy were packed with spiced. It’s delicious! You can choose the level of spiciness from non-spicy to extremely spicy. If you can’t take spicy food then it’s recommended to go for the non-spicy. However, if you love spicy food then you can opt for the medium or extreme spicy. You’ll be able to refill the soup as you eat, and they have both non-spicy and spicy option for you to choose from. If you already ordered a spicy hot pot then it’s recommended to add the non-spicy soup instead. We tried added the spicy soup but the heat got too overwhelming at the end. A single hop pot can actually be shared among 2 person, unless you are a big eater. You can also choose your add-ons from the fridge. Among the add-ons are vegetables, tofu, mushroom and others. My favourite add-ons are the oyster mushrooms and cabbages. I always enjoy my meal at Chicken Hot Pot and I would really recommend if you have yet to try it out. However, if you are going there for quick lunch then it might be a very good idea as the service would be a bit slow. Also, if you take the indoor seats you’ll probably walking out smelling like the hot pot.
