Best char siew wanton mee I’ve tried. I see a lot of people order curry mee also, must be good also!

This is one of my favorite places to eat in uptown. Before coming here, I’ve heard lots of rave reviews about this place. The«famous wanton mee» wasn’t that appealing to me at first since I’m not really a fan of the noodles. But after trying it out for the first time, I was addicted. My favorite are the soup noodles with wanton and char siew, and the dry curry chicken noodles. The drinks especially the kopi ice is pretty good too. The place is pretty well kept too. One thing about this place is that the prices are a bit high for wanton noodles and um… the toilet ain’t that clean. Wanted to give this place 4 stars but I’m a clean freak. So yeah. Other than that, yummy wanton noodles way to go!

Annie 1 is one of the few places in Uptown that you can have both efficient service and good tasting food all in one restaurant, and damn it’s good. If you have been here before, chances are you love their wanton noodles. Their dumplings are soft and tender, with the noodles being softened by the sauce that hides underneath the unassuming plate. Besides that, they do serve other food like fried rice and a variety of noodles, but come on, when you’re there, if you did not eat their wanton noodles, then what else should you eat? I am not a huge fan of the traffic, but since I am always in Uptown, this is the place you go for a dose of goodness!

This is my go-to place for comfort food. Service is efficient and food is good. The food is also inexpensive! I always see many working people have their lunch and dinners here. They are known mostly for their char siew wonton mee but my favorite has to be their curry mee with yong liew which also has char siew in it! I have never been a big fan of char siew maybe because I think it’s a little to sweet for my liking. But the ones served here are really one of a kind as the char siew is lean and not too sweet. You’re also allowed to choose the type of noodle you want in your curry mee– my pick is always the wonton noodles! The rice dishes here aren’t too bad as well and the nyonya kuih is always sold out. Yummy food that always leaves me satisfied but parking can be abit of a problem.

I got to know of this place when my other half was working in the Damansara Uptown area, as this café/Kopitiam is located directly opposite of her work place, hence it is also a convenient choice for breakfast before work. Although this place is mostly operated/staffed by foreign workers, they are still very attentive and efficient in their work(Thumbs up). My default order would be their fried mee hoon and a cup of Nescafé as it is the«cheapest» breakfast meal I can find in this area(In my opinion). Other than that I find this place is rather comfortable as they have numerous fans to ensure adequate ventilation and cooling to ensure optimum comfort for their customers. Although I don’t work here, but I feel that Annie 1 is an ideal place for those working around the area for breakfast and lunch as this café is strategically located in Damansara Uptown. So if you’re thinking of where to go for lunch/breakfast, drop by this shop!

This coffee shop used to be one of my frequent lunch place due to its convenience(just in front of the office building of the company I used to work at). This place serve a variety of food hawker /street food but it is not a hawker centre. Most people come here for their char siew wonton noodles. They serve a variety of noodles and rice. Usually I’ll have some fried rice or wonton noodles. After the company I’m working at shifted else where, I still come back to Annie 1 in the morning for their breakfast. Usually I’ll have a cuppa coffee and fried meehoon for breakfast and sometimes, when I feel greedy, I’ll buy some nyonya kuih to continue eating in the office. Personally, I feel that Annie 1 is a nice place for lunch(for people working around) because of the wide variety of their menu(which explains why they are always full house during lunch time). However, if you were to purposely drive to Uptown for this, be prepared to spend lots of time looking for a parking spot.
