Uniqlo is a Japanese clothing chain with stores around the world including Malaysia. I am glad that they will be opening a store in the Seattle area in a couple weeks. Still when I am traveling in Asia, I make an effort to visit a Uniqlo to pick up a few things. This Uniqlo location is a big store on the concourse level of Suria KLCC. Though I visited the store on the weekend, it wasn’t too crowded. There is plenty of selection here and they have many things on sale. Their everyday pricing is also reasonable. Due to the USD-MYR currency exchange rate, prices seemed lower here compared to locations in other countries I have shopped at. My favorite product line is their Airism collection as it keeps you cool when the weather is hot and the clothing is moisture wicking. Products like these are essentials in my luggage when traveling to places like KL when functionality is more important to me. Basically the point of shopping at Uniqlo(and H&M for that matter) is that you can pick up basic clothing essentials of decent quality at a reasonable price. I would start off your search for clothing at this Uniqlo location as it is one of the better places to look.

I pass by this store every time I go to the LRT station from KLCC. Its quite large and their clothes selection quite diverse. They cover everything from t-shirts, shorts, jeans, jackets and more. I always see a promotion going on or discounts. The prices can be quite moderate but some items do go over RM100. The staff is very helpful and pleasant and the place is always swarming with people. Everything is organized really well inside which makes finding things very easy. They even have termal items or slightly thicker options for colder weather. Maybe not necessary for KL weather but definitely a must when you step outside of the south east Asia.

Uniqlo is a Japanese clothing brand and the store in KLCC sells clothes for Men, Women and Kids. They sell for all seasons too, so if you will be travelling to a cold country, you should stop by Uniqlo to get the basics such as thermal underwear, inner wear, sweaters and jackets. The KLCC store is very big and staff are friendly; greetings fly left and right the minute you enter. The women’s and men’s section are very well organised and the store looks very neat and tidy. I always see staff putting clothes away after a customer has tried them on so they are very efficient in that area as well. In terms of pricing, I personally think they are affordable and their quality is good. You can get a top or blouse for less than RM100 and a decent work jacket for about RM200. I even checked out some winter wear and they have really nice coats for a fraction of the cost of one from a proper ‘winter clothing’ store. I definitely recommend Uniqlo for the basics such as polo t-shirts, leggings and jeans as they have a wide variety to choose from.
