I came across this store at 1 Mont Kiara while doing grocery shopping one day. This place is like restaurant meet, coffee shop and a bar. You can walk in there thinking you’re going to sit for a nice cup of coffee but will probably end up having a meal instead over some wine!

came back with pork satay with rice balls and pork aglio olio. didn’t expect the satay is really satisfying and you won’t get to find pork satay anywhere else. aglio olio is too spicy and the pork taste way too fattening. the soups of the day is the pork stew, taste really thick although the soup looks really clear, not greasy also. I am stuffed again with pork satay rice balls :) Will come back for another dish and recommend you guys to try out their latte :)

A recently opened wine & dine concept restaurant in One Mont Kiara. You’ll probably notice it before you turn into One Mont Kiara as it’s facing the main road. Been here only once and was quite like the concept of the restaurant whereby they made it look like a barn, literally. They serve up local dishes as well as a lot of poultry related to what you can get in a barn. Didn’t manage to dine here as I was just there for some drinks but managed to check out what people ordered and they looked quite good. Prices here are quite reasonable for the type of set up and comfort you’re getting. Will definitely come back one day to try out the food. The Barn is the coolest restaurant that just popped up recently in 1 Mont Kiara, and while its amazing décor choices are good to the eyes of any passerby, the food is what defines them, and defines them pretty well too. Basically, most of the food here are all ‘barn’ based, meaning mostly poultry and fresh products. Their pork loin chop is pretty decent, with a hint of wine that really enhances the taste of the meat. Other than that, there are so many bacon-based products, your inner American will sigh in bliss and resort to taste all of it. It has a pretty good ambience, but other than that, I believe the word ‘overrated’ is what The Barn is about. Good food, but not good to the point where its fame is justified. Great ambience, but the live bands destroy it. Why destroy the expensive decorations or renovations with a live band? Seriously? A live band in a barn-based restaurant? You might as well be playing ABBA while attracting old men and women in their late 70’s.

Since i am always around this area, i usually notice what is lacking for a shopping mall and i knew it was lacking a fine dining restaurant other than sushi zanmai or nando’s. As this place came here, the crowd in this mall increased i guess(Since i always cannot find parking). SO my partner and I entered this place that has a monochrome huge high walls and monochrome pictures on the wall. Pretty cool design, also good quality laminated wood as tables. Interesting. I ordered the Gnocchi with lots of cream and lots of bacon bits on top(RM22) and my partner ordered the pork loin chop, braised & pan-fried with a splash of red wine(RM26). I would say that the food is not as delicious or the«WOW» Factor but it is pretty alright. My gnocchi was not too rubbery and it was easy to eat, the cream sauce was good.
