Probably one of the mamaks which serves chapati and roti canai during lunch time in hartamas. The dishes are fresh and delicious as well. Pappadam is crispy. :) the usual stir fry cabbage is nice. They serve a selection of dishes which includes mutton, chicken, vege, potatoes and so on The price wise: not as expensive as what you may expect in hartamas area. So pretty much affordable. Although the ambience or appearance doesn’t look so good, but good food do exist in not so pretty places. Price rating: 4⁄5(affordable for a place in hartamas) Nom nom rating: 4⁄5(it’s a mamak!) Overall rating: 4⁄5(clean, cheap and quick service)

I really love the food here then other mamak coz they have BBQ! Always wanted to eat something healthy in a mamak but I can never find, however with rm12 you will have a BBQ fish or you could order chicken breast BBQ and daal chana(chick peas with spices) The crowd is always crowded after working hours and on football seasons. Their roti pisang is also really nice, you would ask for egg toast as well. Give this place a try!

Mamak’s are every true Malaysians favourite hangout, affordable food and drinks with the business open round the clock. As a local, i applaud the varieties of dishes offered here however it’s cleanliness is worth a mention too, it’s dire. I did mention earlier mamak’s are known to serve cheaper food and drinks this one in particular has a special priced menu for the unsuspecting. The service staff were slow and unresponsive. Just trying to get their attention civilly is such a chore. After many attempts of flagging them down, we finally got our orders in. The food took forever to arrive, and when it came the epitome of this review is when we found two cockroaches in our food. The sight was grotesque. Neither of us had the stomach to eat anymore. We complained to the staff, paid for the things we consumed(drinks) and left. This is one of those never looking back experiences.

Working around Mont Kiara provides little options for places to eat. Luckily, right next door is Sri Hartamas where there’s lots of food to eat. On a budget, we decided to go for a mamak and you can definitely spot this place as it is a corner lot with a faded yellow signboard and a big chilli logo on its signboard. They have a vast range of menu, more so than your usual mamak. I’m guessing it’s because it’s not really a mamak because they have Pakistani inspired food as well. Going for a mutton briyani, the restaurant definitely lives up to its name as it was really spicy I could barely eat it. And this is coming from a fan of spicy food. A second time here I decided not to make the same mistake and ordered their naan and tandoori while my colleagues ordered cheese naan with chicken tikka, as recommended by the waiter. Chicken tikka was definitely interesting as it came in a sizzling plate with some cabbage at the bottom. The tandoori and naan was just alright for me. Googling this place I found out that they are actually famous for their roti bakar telur cheese and amazingly it looks really good. Id definitely be back to try it.

Out of all mamak’s that has ever existed on planet earth, Spicy mamak offers the best Briyani rice(with an option of mutton, chicken, beef curry). It’s best to have this after a long night of partying when everyone is hungry because of the deliciousness and spicyness! Besides the Briyani’s, I’d recommend anyone to try their Butter Chicken, so so exquisite! There’s a north indian style and the Pakistan style for the butter chicken meal — both styles is good but I always go for the North Indian style.
