I really like Quartet and enjoy having brunch here. Its located in the quiet neighborhood of TTDI and is facing a row of houses with ample parking on the side. Its best to sit outside at Quartet and enjoy the breeze, its pretty cooling cause there are many trees surrounding the restaurant. The have a wide variety of food like eggs benedict, big breakfast, sandwiches, french toast etc. I thought the food was yummy and well seasoned. I had the eggs benedict and they were poached to perfection while the hollandaise sauce had just the right amount of tanginess. The big breakfast was good too although i didn’t try every element of it. They also serve pretty yummy cakes and coffee’s. I had the latte and it was creamy and foamy. perfect. Didn’t try the cakes, although im pretty sure they’re just as yummy as everything else.

Quar/tet wants to be your neighborhood supply. Ever since they opened up in 2013, I’ve been a frequent visitor due mostly to their affordable Eggs Royale and their quality coffee. Sadly, two years after their launch, it seems like everything has gone downhill. Everything, except for their prices. I visited here on a Sunday afternoon, and decided to order their Eggs Rockafella(RM26.50), which is Quar/tet’s interpretation of eggs Benedict. Instead of the classic Hollandaise sauce, Quar/tet’s eggs are topped with capsicum Hollandaise which I’ll have to admit is a creative touch and lends an edge to the classic eggs Benedict. I don’t think this justifies the hefty price tag though, even with the extra potatoes and asparagus stalks. Also, what normal person would be able to eat all of that for breakfast actually? That, and an order of latte brought my bill up to nearly RM40, which I felt was way too steep for what would usually be brunch food at a «neighborhood» outlet. The staff there seemed a little unfriendly and unhelpful, too. We were a party of five, and as Quar/tet’s tables only seated four with no other free tables around, we decided to squeeze together. There were at least two staff members standing around us, and not one of them offered to get us an additional chair. Trivial as this may be, it really showed that they were not concerned about the comfort of their customers.

The Quartet is one of the café’s in TTDI that you have to check out! Obviously perfect for breakfast/brunch and let me tell you why, french toast! They make french toast like none other my friend, sweet yet savoury and a big portion for Rm12++. Good coffee too, TTDI is really a hipster coffee persons dream area. The parking is easy and staff is friendly and helpful. The décor is cute and cozy.

Quartet is probably one of the earlier cafes that was established during the very beginning of the café trend that is happening in Malaysia. Quartet is also one of the very few cafes that I have experienced since I came back from down under. Cafes like Quartet truly gives me the experience as if I was at a café at overseas(down under in particular). Here everything is kept to a minimalistic concept from their furnishings to their menu, nothing too fancy. I tried their breakfast menu and it was generally acceptable, and their coffee is generally alright and I kind of like my food and drinks subtle. The thing I find it great here at Quartet is their location and environment. It is really relaxing being able to just be here on a regular week day and enjoying a cup of coffee, as Quartet is sort of sheltered from the hustle and bustle of the city life. Everything here seems calm and mellow which is perfect for taking a break from the busy city life.

This was one of the first hipster coffee places to open up in the Taman Tun area and it remains one of the best. They have a lovely café with a clean and airy interior, ample seating with tables placed not too close to each other and a good menu with great coffee. I loved that I was able to get a parking spot almost right in front of the café every time I went there. The staff are so friendly, you feel very much at ease here. My first time here meeting an old friend I was actually very worried that I would feel out of place or the staff would look at me like I didn’t belong. Well I worried for nothing because they treat everyone the same; whether you’re a regular or a first-timer. My favourite thing to eat here is hands-down the French Toast(RM12). Served with strawberry slices, they don’t use your ordinary white bread to make this but rather they used brioche which gives it a richer taste. I love their coffees as well, but as a lover of dark chocolate, the first time I tried their drink ‘Formidable Chocolate’ I thought I had died and gone to heaven. It was THAT good. I don’t like milk chocolate because I find it too sweet so this drink was perfect for me. The only thing I am unhappy about is that they are a bit on the pricey side.

I’m always a big breakfast(western breakfast) person. Whenever I go hiking with my friends, I must reward myself with a yummilicious meal after hiking. Yes, it’s a MUST! I exercise not to lose weight, I do it just so that I can eat more(without guilt)! So, after one of our hiking trip, knowing that I like big breakfast(how to not know when I keep nagging through out our hiking trip) my friend brought me here for breakfast. Western breakfast and coffee equals happiness! Was so excited and all four of us ordered from their breakfast menu. Couldn’t remember the name of the food I ordered(there was ham, poached egg, breads and baked bean). All I remembered was their portion is very small and for that portion, their price is very steep. The portion they serve can only fill half my stomach. Urgh, I have a huge tank! However, there’s something I like about this place. This area is very peaceful and quiet. It makes you feel like you’re out of the city. A nice place to hang out and unwind especially on a weekend morning. So relaxing.

Good coffee, good location, good service. It’s hard to find a place with all those criterias, with most places missing either one. Quartet is situated in a place where you can almost always secure a parking spot right in front of the café. which is actually quite a deciding factor nowadays, with all those vehicles on the road. I also very much appreciate that they have power sockets for every table in here, so you don’t have to walk around holding your electronics looking down at every table(happens quite often). I also really like the comfort level here, especially the playlist. Nice music and their volume really determines your mood, and in here, it’s always good. Now, the coffee here is really good, the freshness of it really sticks out even for people who don’t drink coffee on a regular basis. I heard that the Iced Latte here is good, but I’m here on a cooling night and prefer not to have anything chilled. Instead, I had the Long Black here which I like very much. Funny story, as I first ordered an Americano which they didn’t have, the two baristas started debating on the difference between an Americano and a Long Black, which was very entertaining and proves that they were friendly staff. The Wifi here’s really smooth too, so if you’re here getting some email checked or work done, you’ll love it. I’ll definitely be visiting often from now on.

As all coffee lovers in Malaysia agree that Quartet is indeed the place to go for a good cup of coffee, I decided to give it a try. Evidently, I am not disappointed. With its fresh coffee as its main selling point, their brunch menu and pastries are also the reason why so many humans rave about this place so much. One of my favorites would be their smoked salmon bagel, where their salmon is delicately smoked to perfection, and their bagel soft to the teeth, making it an extremely appetizing dish to have when you are hungry for dough. This is the one good café, and I will be damned if nobody ever knew about this place. Please, please, I implore you; visit it as soon as possible. You can put your trust on me. I guess.

I stumbled upon this place when I was on one of my usual dessert hunts after dinner. Parking is pretty easy to find as there’s street parking available. The staff at Quartet are warm and friendly which was nice. Instead of dessert I opted for an almond milkshake from their milk bar and It was a wise decision as I was hooked! The almond milkshake is a refreshing drink especially on a hot day without being too sweet. I couldn’t get enough of it and it’s become a staple order whenever I’m in Quartet. As it was also nearing closing time, the staff gave away a few pieces of doughnut which was a really sweet gesture. The only complain I have is that the place closes a little too early sometimes — 11pm on saturdays. That can be a little inconvenient especially if i’m looking for a place to chill late at night.

Okay I’m marking my territory now saying that this is MY spot. It’s currently my favorite café to go to. Why? Oh I’ll tell you why. First off, free parking. The place is less crowded compared to all the other cafés around TTDI. For a person who hates tardiness, easy parking is a major plus point. Imagine meeting someone ONTIME in KL. Seriously, what’s up with Malaysians and their timing? It’s like they don’t own a clock sometimes. The food here is pretty kickass as well. It is a little pricy for a brunch place but it’s worth almost every cent. I’ve tried their Eggs Rockafella and it’s pretty tasty. Only complaint is that they served two measly sticks of asparagus. Hello! I’m paying RM20+ to only have two sticks of asparagus? Haven’t you heard of the Rule of Three where everything in three is perfect? Okay maybe it’s dubbed as a writing principle but it ought to be a lifestyle principle too! In food, not in relationships ah. I don’t mean in THAT form of lifestyle alright. Hashtag monogamy supporter! Anyway, moving on. This is one of the few places I’ll go and purchase their chilled coffee. It’s delicious and they’ve packaged it into their own labeled bottles — which I think it’s great! The donut that I’ve tried was a bit too sweet for my liking. The staff recommended me the caramel donut and what I didn’t know was the donut was already sprinkled with sugar before being coated with caramel sauce. Needless to say I didn’t consume it all for fear of suddenly being diabetic. The people are really friendly in the café. And I’m not only talking about the staff but their customers as well. You can just chat with someone sitting at the table next to you. It’s very refreshing to be honest. Other things like free WiFi and nice music playlist are added bonuses to this sweet spot. Until I find another café that offers me similar experience, be sure to look around and find me. If I’m working, I’ll be near a power socket. If I’m chilling, I’ll be taking over the couch.

Favourite café in TTDI! Quartet was founded by members of a local band. This café definitely gives off a indie vibe. Their posters and wall decors are definitely one of a kind. They’ve even got a record player in store. There’s ample parking around the café. What to order? Food– Grilled Chicken sandwich, Smoked salmon bagel Drinks — Iced raspberry latte(must), flat white

This café actually made it to one of the top 10 places to have breakfast/brunch in PJ. With that much hype, I made a point to go there with a friend just to find out how interesting the coffee and breakfast is. Luckily enough, the crowd isn’t amazingly packed all the time. You ought to find a place to sit easily. The design of the place is monotone. Grey walls and black accents that line up the coffee bar and counter tops. The selection of coffee is standard but when it comes to the food, it’s best to ask the staff on what’s hot on the menu. That would help you drill down the choices of food to order. Quartet is definitely a great place to be for coffee and your English breakfast. Do take note that the price here is a bit above average. Else, it’s all good!
