Mi Na Rae is those kinds of places that I really want to say great things about but struggle to. Their plus points are that they have affordable lunch sets for less than RM20 from noon till 3pm on weekdays. usually these include a rice and soup, bibimbap or rice with meat sets, including complimentary drinks and dessert(which is usually a couple of watermelon slices). The downside is that you get a measly amount(only three) banchan with these lunch sets, usually tiny portions of either potato, spinach, anchovy and kimchi combinations. Tastewise, I was quite usual. Nothing outstandingly good.

This was a lovely experience. I enjoyed their Bibimbap, also known as Korean Stone Rice Bowl, and I was also in love with their side dishes. The side dishes include mini pumpkin pancakes, stir fry mushrooms, cauliflower, curried potatoes, long beans, fish cakes, kimchi(DUH), spicy eggplant(too greasy for my liking to be honest) and a couple others I forgot. And yes, they’re ALL refillable. The ambience here is pretty chill too. Very Korean-inspired, as you can choose to sit on the floors as you wish like how the Koreans do. Prices here are a bit higher but definitely affordable. I highly recommend this place. I thoroughly enjoyed my dinner here.

With the recent Korean Boom in Kuala Lumpur, steaming from the music industry, many saw the oppurtunity to introduce Korean food in KL. There are many Korean BBQ restaurants in Sri Petaling. From Dorae Korean BBQ, Bön Ga to the newly opened Soul in Seoul. If you are looking for something less fancy and more homely, head over to Mi Na Rae. It is a cozy restaurant located in Sri Petaling on the second level of a shop lot. The interior will transport you to an old authentic Korean restaurant resembling Korea! I opt for the Lunch Set(12:00p — 3:00p) as I was dining alone. Lunch sets are available every day even on weekends. Price ranges from RM12.90 to RM18.90+. Every lunch set comes with a plate of side dishes(not refillable) and a cup of rice tea. I had the squid with gochujang sauce and rice. It was really spicy which kept me going, shoving spoonful into my mouth and enjoying every bite of it. The squid meat was however a little chewy for my liking. Look for the F Block boutique as a landmark. Parking will be an issue as Sri Petaling is known for its parking nightmare but there is a two storey parking lot available, temporarily for no fee.

Korean restaurants are on the rise especially when Malaysians are very involved with the Korean Pop(K-Pop) music, dramas, and television shows(Running Man). It is quite true that Korean foods tend to be a little bit pricey but it all comes down to the taste of these sought of Korean foods. Fret not as they have lunch sets! In the heart of Sri Petaling, this eatery stood out as the crowd is buzzing over here. I would like to commend on the food and the shop owner(lady boss). As usual, the side dishes are refillable(I wish they have potato, then it’d be perfect) and their food portions are quite big. We were succumbing by the fact that with the reasonable amount of money that we paid, we were able to consume foods that were too much to handle. It was so good that we wanted more, but due to limited capacity of our stomachs, we stopped Take note on this when I say that it is VERY difficult to find an empty parking spot here as there are many other eateries around this area. So, brace yourself when you need to spare about 10 to 20 minutes finding for a parking. It is going to be a hassle, but it is worth it as this place is a must go for all you Korean foods enthusiasts!
