This little place has the real deal for takoyaki. It is super good and the texture of the takoyaki is soft on the inside and firm on the outside. Not too ‘flourly’ and the octopus is full of taste. Not only that, their rice bowls are also good and cheap. I have been coming here for lunch pretty often and never once it failed to satisfy my expectations and hunger. I usually take the set, it comes with green tea. They don’t have free refills… Oh well. Other than that, they also have popcorn chicken and with the choice of spicy level. It is a good snack to have when you’re on the run.

Came acorss Kuru Kuru Takoyaki at The Gardens Mall over the weekend. The stall is located at Lower Ground, behind the popular Milkcow. I needed a quick lunch before going for an event, so I decided to have my lunch at Kuru Kuru Takoyaki. The menu is very simple. They offer takoyaki, don(rice) and some noodles. I browsed through the menu ordered a Chicken Teriyaki Don at the counter. Personally, I thought the chicken teriyaki wasn’t too bad. The chicken was not dry, and the portion of the chicken was satisfying. The rice came with a cup of green tea, but sadly the drink did not taste that good and it was borderline cold. Joe ordered the Chicken Karaage Don. Instead of fried chicken cutlet, it came with fried chicken cube. Though the fried chicken was good, but it’s a little disappointed that it wasn’t chicken cutlet. Since it’s a takoyaki stall, we ordered an original takoyaki to try. The texture of the takoyaki was not too bad but I would wish the octopus to be a little bit more. Overall, it was a satisfying meal at Kuru Kuru Takoyaki. The rice set was less than RM10. If you are looking for a fast and reasonably-priced meal, Kuru Kuru Takoyaki would be a good choice.
