Ippudo supposed to serve the best ramen and how can I not try since I LOVEEEEE ramen! Queue is always there during lunch and dinner time but the wait is not long actually. There is a variety of selection here. Best of all, you can opt for add on. For me, I always have ramen with Tamaga(egg). My favourite broth is definitely the original broth enhanced with miso and garlic oil(Akamaru). I always finish the broth to the last drop. The broth here is not too oily but packed with flavour! Do try out their original broth as well as it taste super good too. The original broth(Shirumaru) is less salty but sweeter than the Akamaru. However, I have to say that the noodles here are not to my liking. Good thing is that you can choose how hard you want your noodles. I much prefer the noodle from Menya Musashi which is thicker. The chasiu in Ippudo was also very tasty without being too fat. Overall, I would say Menya Musashi serves the best ramen in KL/Sel and Ippudo will be runner up.

Hands down my favorite ramen place in Malaysia! The quality & consistency of the ramen served are comparable with the outlets in Japan: authentic thick pork broth soup, «q“ness of the ramen(we can decide the hardness of the noodles upon ordering: soft/normal/hard/very hard), cha siew etc, the combination is just so yummy that I can’t help to finish the whole bowl including the soup! Besides the ramen, we also tried the Sake Mentai rice(Mentai with minced salmon on rice), it was heavenly! The plus point, I’m so glad that ippudo recently revised the price list and it’s slightly cheaper now. There are also value set during lunch time, which is really value for money. We’ll be back again to try other side dishes!

Being well known for their ramen originated from ippudo(a place in japan) here, they are actually quite serious about their ramen. Once you’re at the restaurant you’ll be greeted warmly(following japanese culture) and when you look at the menu you are for sure getting excited. Offering a wide range of ramens here, you actually get to choose on the hardness of your ramen and they do use pork broths here, so it’s non halal. Apart from ramen they are also well known for their pork buns here, very nice! Of course, the prices here are not on the cheap side, but given the food quality that they promise, i think that it is actually worth it. Do come earlier during lunch or dinner hours if you don’t want to wait for too long behind the queue and also for your food yea.

Having tasted ramen abroad and locally, Ippudo Hakata ramen is one of the least that I have enjoyed. Then again, there are many types of ramen. I do not enjoy the broth as I find the smell of the pork is too strong. While the pork slice or cha siu aren’t to my liking. However, in terms of service, they are excellent. Always with a smile and very attentive. During my meal, I was sweating. I felt the restaurant has poor ventilation and the lights were too strong which could be a factor to the heat.

Was hearing a lot about Ippudo Ramen and coincidentally I was facing a ramen craving. My first impression of this place was pretty good, the staff greeted us with a smile and showed us our seat by the kitchen window, so we got a look of how they prepared the ramen. What I liked most about the dish was the soup. It was very flavored and the taste was very refined. It was topped with thin slices of pork that will melt in your mouth. The noodles also come with a choice of soft, normal, hard, and very hard. If you feel like its missing something, you can order a few sides to go with your ramen. I personally liked the half boiled egg here, goes perfectly with my soup.

If you’re a lover of Ramen and pork, here is a must try! We took the Lunch promo set where one is given one Ramen, an Appetizer, Dessert, and Green Tea at RM29.90, a pretty good deal i’d say. I took the AKAMARUSHINAJI Ramen and it is IPPUDO’s original tonkotsu broth that is enhanced with special blended miso paste and fragrant garlic oil. You can choose the hardness of your noodles Soft/Normal/Hard/Very hard. Mine was served with thin noodles, pork belly, kikurage and spring onions. What I need to say about the broth is… dang! It is so thicken and richen with pork stock and fat that the soup is cloudy and you can see bits of fat floating gloriously in every spoon you take. You can tell that they take their food seriously and I really liked that about this place. For an average pork lover, the broth did overwhelm me a little though when I was half way through. Nonetheless, it was so very tasty. You can customize and add on sides such as salted half boiled egg, flavored black fungus and seaweed. My Raspberry Sorbet was really nice too, smoothly shaved ice that finished my meal perfectly. Though it won’t be a regular fix because it is very rich, I would definitely visit again.
