Feeling exotic? Add-on a frog into your bowl, goes pretty well with my favourite spicy broth, though the signature broth is great too! I would also go for pork ball Mee Hun with baby spinach add-on. Must-try: Crispy Fu Chuk(bean curd) Homemade fish paste Bursting Meat Ball Spicy broth Herbal tea Something you would definitely crave for on a rainy day! And thanks to Alex from Unilocal, who got me into this wonderful place, now I’m addicted! :)

Had the spicy Pan noodle with premium beef slice and foo chook. The thick Pan noodles were soft but the beef slice was just a couple of pieces even though it was a separate add-on in the menu. The herbal tea tasted watered down, it should had been a little thicker. The anchovies provided with the noodles were crunchy and light. The foo chook wasn’t oily and crunchy. Service was efficient and the servers were clean. Ambience ok, the place was new and clean. Overall the food was good, would come here again.

Ok… so went to KL for a couple of days, but didn’t have the internet. My friend opened a restaurant upstairs, so I didn’t want to review that location. I would be a little bit bias and so decided to do this one instead. First off, it was great to finally see some pork on the menu. That is the one thing that I was not used to. I love some pork with my food usually, and it was something I had to get used to when I was in KL. The location is in an underground basement in the mall. The décor looked like an old style noodle bar/house. It felt almost like a China atmosphere. In terms of the noodles, it was amazing. I think it was because I was craving pork at the time, but the soup base was rich, the meat was flavourful, overall, it was a great restaurant. The only thing that I would reduce a star from was the size of the restaurant. At lunch, it can get busy and it feels crapped. Overall, it was a great experience. I don’t know if I would go again. There are so many other places that I would love to go to first in KL.

One of my best place to dine in jaya one. It’s not your typical Pork noodle place. What attracted me the most at 1st was the interior design of the Restaurent. Its like an old Chinese Restaurent using a lot of wooden elements, with Chinese rice wine bottles displaying at the walls. There are lanterns and cute wooden horses for kids to play with. It’s located at p1 of the school. They sell only noodles mainly soup noodle. You can choose from superior soup base or spicy soup base which cost a little bit more. There are various toppings you could choose from, varies from Pork belly(my fav), bursting Pork ball, fish paste, premium beef, prawn, fish, frog… The list goes on. You could also choose your choice of noodle, bee Hun or mian xian. Normally I take the spicy soup with pork belly. The spicy soup is packed with the goodness of the stock plus a kick of spice! It’s not too spicy for me. Love pork belly, its soft and yummy, but it could be a little fat for some people then u could opt for beef. It’s soft and juicy too. Today I was quite full so I ordered only the fish paste soup turned out the portion is so big I can’t even finish the fish paste. It definitely is affordable and taste awesome. Just be sure to arrive early around 12pm cause if you come later it might have a que. ;)

That’s right — this is going to be the first noodle place on Unilocal that I’m giving out a 5-star. I can’t promise that this is unbiased as I was pretty hungry when I was having my lunch there. But, my judgment couldn’t go that wrong either. Located in Jaya One, this noodle house wouldn’t be too hard to find as their interior is quite striking with all the wooden decoration. I was deciding on which place to get my lunch and this place almost immediately got my attention. The place was full house when I was there, but their staff were very friendly and helpful in helping me to get to my seat. Here, mainly because of the crowd, you might have to share your table with some other people. To me, this is perfectly fine. After all, they call themselves a noodle house, and table sharing system seems pretty compatible with the name. They have a menu with a wide range of different noodles for you to choose from, indeed getting spoilt with choices. I was contemplating which noodles to get at first, but when I see that they have the Australian beef slice noodles here, I decided straight away. I went with the spicy soup, that was what I was craving for. And, if you are someone who likes spicy food and beef, you should order the exact same thing that I did. I was beyond awed. It might be partly because of my hunger, but the beef slices were so tender with its fat marble evenly spread on every slice, each bite literally put a smirk on my face. Pairing that with the hot and spicy soup was almost too good to be true as well — that’s especially when you are having that while you are starving. Prices are pretty fair — not too cheap but I got my big bowl of noodles with beef slices around RM15. Would definitely come back again!

2 types of soups are for noodles: clear soup and spicy soup. I tried the clear soup and my wife tried the spicy one. Both of us were satisfied. Different kinds of meat balls mixed with different noodles create lots of delicious combinations. I think any people can find one to fit the appetite.

I was recommended by a good friend of mine that the meat balls at GO Noodle House is explosive. I thought it would erupt in your mouth once you bite it so I was keen to give this place a try. In reality, it is just a normal noodle house that serves pan mee, and Chinese la mian with assorted meat/fish balls. The ‘explosive’ meat ball is a meat ball within the meat ball. Nothing much to shout about it. If you have tried teochew meat ball, it is somewhat similar. The noodles were just alright, I tried the spicy flavour soup. It was just average. I felt conned with the recommendation given by my friend.

Have you try a noodle that you remember for life? Well, at least I do. Thanks to my lecturer and friends recommendation, I am able to experience one of the BEST noodle in Kuala Lumpur. I was here yesterday and let me tell you that I am in love with this place, why? They have the tastiest pork ball noodle that I had probably two decades of my life. Yeah, that amazing. They are located quietly in The School, Jaya One. This noodle shop has an incredible distinctive interior– a typical Chinese Traditional yet classy design that allows noodle to really shine majestically. Besides, their menu here are extremely straightforward, you can clearly spot their signature noodle as you go along the menu. I personally went for their spicy pork noodle with the addition of noodle(RM10 –RM1 for addition of noodle). Their spicy pork noodle has an incredible tender noodle, exceptionally smooth and soft yet succulent, their soup base are blended with the noodle perfectly, it has such an authentic taste. Not to mention, you can totally count on their remarkable traditional wine, such an refine taste– they even have a whole display around the shop. Moreover, here is definitely a spot for groups :) Besides, they charges at a reasonable price for their magnificent noodle. However, the bear of waiting is unbearable. It might upset your patient and your tummy– you might face the challenge of queuing and waiting but then it will come to your mind that is worth every penny and second. Their noodle will ease your anger away, Trust me!!! Though, I have to point out that look may be deceiving, they might look compacted but there’s a hidden café that awaiting to explore. I have heard rumours of their amazing ‘TAUFUFA” though is a shame that I wasn’t able to taste it. Oh well, I will be back here anyways, I wonder whether they have their tau fu fa prepared. Hope you guys are lucky enough.

At my final semester of my college this restaurant is open for 2 weeks, but I highly recommend you guys to try out their pork and beef noodle, the soup is good and he noodle is awesome :) its just that the restaurant itself its too small and not big enough. lunch time is always packed with people and you need to do wait for quite a long time only can get your order. :) but then it worth your time waiting for such good awesome noodle :) the restaurant itself is quite vintage design, the table and bench is made by real woods.

A restaurant hidden at a quiet floor of The School, Jaya One. This place has got a very unique interior decoration that just spells chinese kung fu drunken master. The wall of chinese wine bottles gives this place a unique ambience. You will almost always be greeted by this chinese old man upon entering the premises. This place can be quite pack at peak hours but I’ve not been asked to wait for too long just to get a seat. Their specialty is mainly their noodles in either clear or spicy soup. You can then pick and choose an array of ingredients to mix. I would go for the pork balls always with spicy soup and fried bean curds. They are delightfully spicy. Of course, my last tip is to purchase a wine bottle of your liking and have a couple spoons of it mixed into your noodles. How about that for feeling like a drunken master?

One of the more popular restaurants in Jaya One, it is not unusual to see groups of people waiting outside for a table. Recently, they have just expanded their sitting area, a testament to how well they’ve been doing since opening their doors to the public. Obviously hand-made noodles are what they serve and they do it well. Somehow the noodle’s texture is perfect, a difficult thing to be consistent for. Customers have a free hand at customising their meals. First, you select your type of noodles(mixian rice noodles or regular bee hoon), then your soup(superior or spicy) and finally pile on the add-ons. While this is the popular dish in the restaurant. My favourite is the spicy pan mee. Again noodles are hand-made and you get a choice of thin, thick or torn. I like that the condiments are plated with the noodles but are separated. As I’ve mentioned earlier, the shop has recently been able to accommodate larger crowds, but they have still kept designs in the same manner. I used to wonder why bottles of Chinese cooking wine line the entrance of GO Noodle House. As I found out later, they’re actually three-year-aged & five-year-aged bottles for customers to splash a spoonful of wine into their soup; it’s a wonderful way to boost the flavour & fragrance of these meals. Bear in mind that this place is non-halal.

The environment was fully designed as if you were in a Traditional Chinese Inn! Lots of traditional Chinese liquor sealed in variety sizes of jar were displayed all around the restaurant. They were quite considerate of placing hook hangers on each table for the ladies. One thing you got to notice is the name tag on their staff! We saw staff with the name of «Fook Chuk»(Crispy Cracker), «Yu Tan»(Fish Ball), «Yuk Yun»(Meat Ball), and so on, which we find it amusing. The food price here is still within average. We ordered Spicy Beef Slice Mi Xian(RM13.20), Soup Prawn Mi Xian(RM14.90), Superior Beef Ball Mi Xian additional with Bursting Meat Ball(RM9.90 + RM3.00), and Soup Pork Slice Mi Xian(RM10.90). You can choose to either serve your noodles with their homemade recipe soup or spicy soup. For noodle choices there are Mian Xian or Bee Hoon. Chinese wine is also available to be order at here. The noodles here were served with the big chinese bowls. Their homemade recipe soup is made up of chinese wine. The Soup Prawn Mi Xian tasted a little plain but the aroma of chinese wine was really nice, it also contains some light seafood flavor in it. Out of expectation the Mi Xian was smooth & chewy. Ingredients like prawn & beef slices was fresh. I personally preferred the homemade soup better than the spicy soup. All that I can taste is the mild chili oil in the spicy soup for my Beef Slice Mi Xian. However to my surprise the beef slices were tender & juicy. Bursting Meat Ball was just like a normal meat ball but in bigger size with additional grinded meat in it. They also serve Beef Ball here however it just taste normal to me. The services of staff seem inexperience but they are still friendly tho. We tried ordering their famous Soya Cube which looks something like«Taufu Fa» in a box, and unfortunately it was sold out. They didn’t tell us till we asked for it after long waits, & also the fact that they forgotten the other half of our remaining orders. However we did get our free«Fu Chuk»(Crispy Cracker) when they realized the forgotten orders as compensation. Food quality wise is quite ok for me but I do expect for a better improvement in taste.

Many shops tried their luck in Jaya One, but only a few succeeded. GO Noodle House is definitely one of them. They specialize in noodles, and they offer only 3 options — Spicy Soup, Superior Soup, and Dried noodles. Although they do not offer much, but they have been doing a good job in serving delicious noodles. You can choose to have Mi Xian(Thick Noodles) or Vermicelli. I’m very fond of their Spicy Soup and would recommend having it with their Mi Xian. They are not fooling around when it comes to the spiciness of their soup, but I felt they have toned down the heat quite a lot. However, it could still be too much for some people. If you are worry about the heat, go for the Superior Soup. It may look like your usual clear soup, but they have added in some wine for the extra flavours. They are very generous with the ingredients too — meatballs and vegetables! They place is always crowded, and be prepared to queue up during lunch time on weekdays. It’s advisable to be there before 12:30PM so you could avoid the waiting. I’m sure you wouldn’t want to be late for work after lunch!
