On any other evenings, Frangipani is one of the more generic bars along the street. Come Friday night, the bar upstairs attracts the LBGT crowd. If this is what you’re looking for, Frangipani is perhaps your best bet on a Friday night. Drinks are plentiful with promos before 12am. As you’d have expected, the atmosphere is always glittery fabulous. Make sure you come with an open mind. On Saturday night, the place becomes the hippest place in town, thronged by sceneters and hipsters of all ages, dancing to indie tunes played by KL’s most adored indie trio — Indiego.

This place is known as a boys bar and i love coming here. I love a boys bar, i think i have more fun and i’d usually let loose a little more. The music here on fridays and saturdays are absolutely banging with a mix of indie, house, electro and hip hop you are surely to be dancing all night long. Drinks are a little pricey, i think it has got to do with it being a tourist spot too. But when the environment is good, music is good and theres sooo many good looking people to look at! Hehe!

Frangipani is a chill place. It has a decent space for you to move and chill with your friends. The music is pretty good. They have a good mix of music genres so it’s pretty adaptable. Parking can be quite a pain because the traffic is just insane. Changkat being a tourist spot. It’s one of the most talked about bars around the area as well. The bouncers there can be pretty strict with dress code and age limit, which I think it’s a good practice to have. Frangipani has a cool vibe to it. The crowd is pretty hip and fashionable. I know magazines and companies organize some of their events there. I been to a couple before and it’s pretty nicely done.

Fine dining restaurant by day, hip club by night. Frangipani has two alter egos as its ground floor is an elegant fine dining restaurant serving modern European cuisine so be prepared to pay quite a bit for your meal. The setting inside the restaurant is posh and centered around a mini pool that completes its sleek look. There are usually various food promotions held at Frangipani and I had the opportunity to try out their special truffle menu as it was in season. The chef had creatively put together a couple of dishes that incorporates truffle and it was all executed perfectly from my soup to mains. The manager of the restaurant Azam was also very courteous and extended good hospitality. Frangipani is known to host gay nights on Fridays so keep a look out for that if you’re interested. Else, they also throw happening parties on Saturday nights as hipsters and rockers alike flock to Indiego and Co’s DJ set where they spin music from Muse to Coldplay.

I definitely think that this place in Chang Kat is unique. It has an outstanding restaurant, brilliant bar and a super crazy club. Moreover, on Wednesdays they have a special night, where they serve free cocktails to ladies from 21p.m. I went to their awesome PineApple party, where the music was just outrageous. Everything was very glamorous. However, their A/C didn’t work which in the end really affected the atmosphere. It’s a fancy place, so be ready to spend around 40 rm for a cover charge. However, it is definitely worth of visit! Enjoy!
