I have only been here for drinks. It’s always a good alternative as compared to its neighbor The Social which is always full of people. I heard The Social and El Meson share the same owner anyway. I feel a lot more comfortable here without the loud music, unlike The Social. The cocktails here aren’t that amazing but they do have quite a number of options. And oh there’s free wifi here!

Everything from the food to the chef in the kitchen is Spanish. And a great one, at that! Came here for a company function in the day and was impressed with just about everything. The interior gives off a rustic and cosy atmosphere, much like a contemporary and clean pub/restaurant. There is a bar and a spacious floor area. We didn’t make a booking however managed to find a table almost right away(though, I’d suggest giving them a call to make sure a table is available; as it can get very busy especially at night). They have an impressive list of wine and other alcoholic beverages to complement your meal/tapas. I had the ultimate pork burger which was so scrumptious and satisfying! Arguably one of the best pork burgers I’ve tried in KL. unfortunately though, they only serve this during lunch hour so if you come at night you won’t be able to try it. Pity! The tapas list is also impressive. with a range of cold and hot dishes you can choose for. Or ask the staff for recommendations and they would happily tell you which to go for with a friendly smile. The Cahmpignones(sauteed mushrooms) were so delicious and buttery and tasted so good with some bread on the side(you can always ask for more serves of bread!) Their signature dessert is the chocolate molten lava cake with a scoopy of vanilla ice cream on the side. The mound of chocolate cake oozes out with rich thick melted chocolate and goes so well with the ice cream. It’s a burst of chocolatey goodness in the mouth! So if you’re looking to have an enjoyable and authentic Spanish experience, I can’t say enough good things about my whole experience at El Meson — so give it a try and you won’t be disappointed!

It was Friday night and I have decided to have a few drinks with my friend. As usual we decided to go to the social in bangsar, however the crowd there when we reach was crazy. And not just that, all the seats were in fact already taken up. Gotten a bit frustrated with that i went to the restaurant and bar just next door, which is El Meson. Only after i settle down and look through the menu i realize that El Meson and the Social actually share the same drinks menu and wine list. Their environment here is quite similar to the Social apart from they are less like a sports bar with pool tables and more like a fine casual dining place. I know that they are famous with their pork dishes here too, but it was late night so my friend and i only ordered some fries to go with our wine. Their fries here were prepared freshly when you order but i thought mine was a bit too salty, so do request for less salt if you arent someone who wants your fries too salty. Overall, great and cozy ambience, also less of a crowd as compared to the Social. Might come back again.

If you wanna have some delicious Spanish meal, this is the perfect place to do that. You will find this amazing restaurant in Bangsar. The place is good if you wanna have a good with friends or just some drinks. The music is quite loud, so you have have your ears wide open. I had hear a very good Cezar Salad and some cocktails. The price of the food it’s slightly more expensive, but they have a big variety of meal from where you can choose. Therefore, if you wanna have an amazing Spanish meal, you have to try this place.
