Alexis – The Bar Upstairs

One thing I love about Alexis at Telawi is their steak. I tried to order the same steak at their Ampang branch & they do not serve it. However, you would be able to find the same variety & quality of cakes in the Telawi outlet. Their cakes are delicious too. The wait staff are attentive & well trained.
There is a bar at the first floor but it normally showcases amateur talents and their music is not on par with the talents performing at the Ampang outlet.
A downside to being in Telawi is the immense challenge to find available parking.

Being an Alexis-​frequenter, this bar was actually still considered a discovery for me. My first time here was a spontaneous drink with my friend after my massage and I have already loved it after just that one visit.
One thing I really like is that you can order whatever food or desserts that you want from downstairs and they will send it to you — drinks and a slice of their Tiramisu cake, tell me how awesome that is!
The lighting upstairs is really dimmed, and they are playing some soft and soothing musics here. Sometimes, they do play covers of songs too, so the ambience is really relaxing and would definitely make an awesome night out spot.
My favourite desserts here have to be their Tiramisu cake and Pavlova. If you are looking for some beer bites, try their salt and spicy wings and calamari rings, fried but not too oily, tasteful and goes really well with their draught beer.
They do have a wine list here too, and do ask for recommendations from the waiter if you aren’t too sure what to have.

Who knew there was a bar above Alexis? I sure didn’t but it sure was a revelation to me. The lightning there is really dim though, at times it gets pretty hard to see people’s faces. I went there to meet a few friends and I walked right pass them without even realizing it. It gets pretty full on Fridays and Saturdays so be sure to go there early to get a seat. It’s a really nice place to chill as they also play soft music and keeps the mood of a classy place to socialize.
Of course the best part about this place is you could also get Alexis’s famous and delicious cakes to be delivered up the stairs to you. Their mixed berry meringue is very delicious with the soft inner layer and crusty outer layer providing a beautiful contrast in texture.
Of course with bangsar, parking is always a problem but if you don’t mind paying then you could always just park in the mall.

Alexis Bar was really awesome! I had a team dinner there and my team and absolutely had a great time no doubt! I got so excited when I saw they had Moroccan lamb! but I ordered something I never tried before, might sound silly but yea I never had Fish and Chips so I gave that a try and someone else tried the Moroccan Lamp and thought it was amazing! I loved the fish was really good! the wine was great! we even had a small celebration and had champagne added to the mix!
The place atmosphere is so good! The have made these Mona Lisa with different faces designs on the wall! it’s reaally cool! definitely recommend it for anyone looking to enjoy a nice not so chill but fun night with friends or colleagues!

Our favorite go-​to if we ever want some peace and quiet to catch up with friends and family. It’s dimly lit, cozy, classy and cold (they have central air conditioning and for such a small space, its like you’re in London, in fall.) There are a few dining tables and a couple of sofa sets, tastefully decorated and an excellent venue for small, private parties or functions.
I would always have my date-​nights here as well as it is very quiet and there aren’t a lot of distractions so I could concentrate totally on my OTLFEEEE (one true love forever and ever and ever…)
Another big plus which I absolutely love about this place is the toilets are not five 10 steps away. You would appreciate this if you have a bladder the size of a walnut and shrinks even smaller with alcohol intake. You could also smoke here even though it’s an indoor bar, the ventilation system is extremely efficient.
So ladies! Be sure to bring your jackets. And get ready to fall in love all over again with your significant other. And if you’re single, bring your cats, they’ll love you for it! (kidding! You could bring your mom.)
