One should avoid this place during the lunchtime rush!!! Chilis is a great place to go get an American«Tex-Mex» meal. They recently revamped the menu offering some new choices. The waitstaff is pretty good at bringing out refills and taking your order quickly. The downside to this Chilis. They are ALWAYS out of something. Always. Whether it’s Chips, appetizers, or even rice(how do you run out of rice in Japan???). Expect the menu to be limited. I almost wonder who orders/reorders/stocks the Chilis food, because clearly, they could use some help in ensuring the Menu is available and not limited. It’s rather aggravating. Otherwise the food is good and the atmosphere is decent. Not all Military bases have a Chilis, so overall, it’s a severe love hate relationship with this restaurant.

Chilis is an American, Tex-Mex style chain restaurant. Back in the US I would go to Chilis once a month because they are conveniently located near my work place. This location is near my hotel/lodging. For this visit I was kindly greeted by the hostess. I prefer the bar and let her know I was heading that way. Nice place to watch replays of American sports. Giants & Royals game was on. Disappointed because the beer taps weren’t working. Settled for a bottled blue moon and a molten chocolate cake. Good decision to close out the day. That chocolate volcano of goodness was delicious. Blue Moon, Belgian white is a good beer if you like wheat types of ale. Overall this was my 5th visit. 3 times at the bar and 2 at a table. Service at the bar was excellent. At the table it can be a little slow. Food was great. No change in taste in comparison to Stateside Chilis. Good with groups. Just call ahead.
