This place offers ultra-fresh Japanese sushi and seasonal fare. Being a non-Japanese speaking foreigner, it’s a real treat being invited to an establishment like this by a native Japanese. I was served several different courses starting with appetizer of seaweed with crab leg, river snails and fresh baby fish with finely grated ginger. This is followed by a plate of fresh tuna, toro(fatty tuna), mackerel, kanpachi(amberjack), hamachi(yellow tail) and an assortment of clams, scallops and other shell fish. After that, I was served with tuna tataki, grilled ayu(sweet fish), chawanmushi with seafood topped with buckwheat seeds(steamed egg custard), an assortment of fish nigiri, miso soup with river clams and then ended with a strong hot green tea. The meal was spectacular. Everything was prepared with utmost refinement and was incredibly tasty. Really great authentic sushi at an unbeatable price. Cost runs around ¥6,000~¥7,999 for dinner excluding beverage and other refreshments.
