Passaguai

Was in here on a recent trip to Rome and wow! What a place! The staff were incredibly accommodating to us (13 drunk Scottish people post-​rugby match) and made us feel very welcome!
The menu was slightly confusing as to what was a starter/​main but everything that we ordered as a table looked so tasty!
I had roast chicken served with mash, mixed greens and a little bit of mustard on the side and it was SO good! I could have eaten it twice! Followed this up with a mixed fruit chocolate fondue — mmmmm! All topped off with lovely lovely wine.
Best part — the price! The bill for 27 plates of food and 7 bottles of wine = € 32/​person. Unreal.
Go here for great value, high quality food, lovely wine and exceptional customer service.

Nous avons déjeuner sur la petite terrasse au soleil. Agréable. Déjeuner très bon. Entrée jambon fromages qui avaient du goût. Vrai Carpaccio et salade tomates mozzarella: jolie et bonne. Dessert tiramirsu spécial car un peu croquant dedans excellent !!!

Was looking for a light lunch and a drink after fighting through the crowds at the Vatican. This place was cute and quiet — exactly what we needed. We sat outside tucked away on a side street and had an amazing light lunch and a bottle of wine. The chicken salad was solid, nice mix of greens and make your own dressing of olive oil and balsamic. The beef carpaccio with arugula and parm was amazing! The prosciutto and motz was also very good. Great place to stop in after the Vatican.

One of the better places we have had in Rome. Very good local place and good quality food. We liked the pasta and coffee here :)

I almost did not want to write a review for this place because I want it to be my secret place that I hold hostage in my heart forever. But for other European loving travelers I believe this advice will find you well. After a very stressful few hours of my Fiancé and I fixing our plane tickets back home the following day we were beat and did not want to venture far from the hotel. We walked a few blocks, turned a corned and fell into Passaguai.
Upon entering the vibe was totally something that is our style. We were sat at the bar, as there were no tables available. The waitress/​bartender was beyond accommodating and treated us like royalty. The same goes for the whole staff. They recommended what we should try for food and drink and I’m sure we looked a little beat and were not so worried about putting off the tourist vibe (although we are no cliché tourist types). We started with a meat and cheese plate and bread (you have to try, so amazing — they cut the deli meats right there on site, as you can see the pig legs right there on the counter!), and we shared a plate of meatballs. I like my beef cooked medium rare, with lots of pink in the center. These meatballs were definitely very pink as I noticed so if you’re not into that then I wouldn’t recommend ordering. However we though they were absolutely delicious and they were soft as butter.
The drinks here are fabulous and the staff really knows how to make them. They are all talented and make you feel like you are in a big kitchen party when you are in Passaguai. We finished with dessert (obviously, when in rome.) I highly recommend this place, it is a little gem in this part of Rome. and while you are over there make sure you stay at Hotel Atlante Star, best hotel in the city.

Was staying at the Orange Hotel around the corner and this Gem of a Spot found me!

Such a great place for wine, proscuitto and cheese. Great atmosphere. We were so lucky to stay in an apartment in the same building, when we visited Rome in July 2013. We also had salads and other stuff. But hey — go for the proscuitto. They have an excellent selection.
