Für einen schnellen Kaffee sehr empfehlenswert. Preis — Leistung ist sehr ansprechend.

If you are traveling to Rome and find yourself wondering what it is an Italian does every morning then head over to Parenti. Grab yourself a spot at the counter and ask for a cappuccino and a cornetti, believe me you won’t be disappointed. My wife and I went to this place every day whilst we visited Rome and were sad to have to leave it behind. The staff are very friendly and they remembered us after our first visit. The coffee is in a word, fantastico ! The vanilla cornetti are to die for. This made for a great start to every day while in Rome. *tip: ensure you order cappuccino before 11am and never sit down always stand at the coffee bar(as the Romans do).

Just three reviews for this little gem !! I am surprised. This was an amazing ‘bar’. We had breakfast here everyday on our trip to Rome. We saw mostly locals at this place and it was always crowded. They have the most amazing baristas and the owners are very friendly, they start recognizing you after your first visit. They have hands down the best Capuccino I had my entire trip and that’s a tall order. Try their whole wheat with honey croissants, they are unbelievable. Overall a tiny hole in the wall that makes incredible coffee is very well priced and maybe a tad bit more authentic than having cereal or eggs at your hotel.

This is a small coffee shop with a big heart. I may have missed if the owner was not the proprietor of our Airbnb. Lovely people, nice place for coffee, standing at the bar Italian style. Enjoy a sweet treat or pastry and be on your way.

What a pleasant surprise this place turned out to be! Great place to start your day on the way to the Vatican. No seating, you stand on bar which pushes you not to waste time. A café on the go, make your pick of freshly baked goodies(cornetto or its many other equally tasty relatives on display!), mingle with a few rushing tourists and many locals and you’re off to a good start of the day. At the counter you feel you are paying pennies! If this was not enough for a good morning start, the person behind the counter whistling and cheerfully smiling and assisting you on your picks was the cherry on top…

Just in between the subway, tram, and Vatican, on the shopping street, this was my lifesaver and favorite spot during our stay in Rome. Why? Quite simple: When you are running from one shop into the next one, looking at what seems to be thousands of nice outfits on your partner, and at some point simply cannot see the difference between the red and the light red and the black dress any more or answer the question which shoes would look better with that dress we looked at four shops earlier… come here, take a look at their delicious pastries and decide for any one(you can’t go wrong), and order a cappuccino with it. Ask twice if you really heard something sounding like two fifty, drop the change into the glass filled with water next to the cashier, and enjoy… Enjoy not only the sweet taste of your pastry, or the great aroma of the excellent roast of Danesi in your small cup, but also the professional and impressive pace at which the lady is making one coffee after the other, the owner is selling pastries and filling up the counter in the little breaks, or his brother stepping in and getting an order ready from one of the shops I just left… It seemed not only to be my lifesaver, but also the one for many employees in the surrounding shops. A lot of locals also come in here, order their coffee for one euro, drink it and chat some sentences before leaving again. All staff are so friendly, smiling and seem to enjoy their work, every time I went here. There is no seating which I would say is the only backdraw, together with the fact it is quite narrow and barely fitting five, six customers. Well, it’s not a restaurant but a bakery with great coffee, so enjoy your visit, refill your energy, and off you go with power to make it through either the next hours of shopping or the next hours of waiting in line at the Vatican.
