We found this place on Unilocal. We walked 20 mins out of the way to come here because we were looking for a restaurant that serves breakfast. Lol. As Americans, we didn’t realize how difficult it is to find breakfast… typical breakfast, eggs, toast, bacon, etc. out here in Rome, breakfast is not a big deal. Anyhow, we walked to come here, was skeptical at first… the entrance is a little confusing. But listen for the dishes and keep walking. Lol. Once we walked in, we were warmly greeted. The server sat us walked away and tended to us promptly. She was very courteous. Anyhow, we ordered the«English Breakfast.» It came out pretty fast. It is a LOT of food. Previous Unilocal say the meal is 10 euros. It is now 12. Lol. But still, a ton of food and comes with coffee. A VERY good meal. At the end she gave us complimentary deserts. Which was also very nice. All around good service, good food, good drinks, and a nice little environment. Must try.

Attn anyone sealing a solid American style breakfast. We found this gem by accident. They have absolutely hands down the best brunch in Rome. Eggs, toast, ham, coffee, oj, and jams. For only 12 euro! This place is hidden and tucked away by a small storefront. Just walk in to about 20 ft and turn left. There is a full bar, tons of eloquent seating and a extremely relaxing atmosphere. The staff is friendly and aims to please. Everything we ate was fantastic. We were in Rome for a week and we searched high and low for a «home style meal» we had eaten so many Croissants and muffins it was time for a real meal. Thank the lord we found this. I hope you have the great opportunity to eat here if your wanting that American breakfast feel. Ciao

When one tires of having pastries for breakfast, Fabrica provides an excellent reprieve. After checking out the Vatican, my friends and I were rather peckish and choose this establishment based on other Unilocal reviews. It did not disappoint! For € 10 each, you get freshly squeezed OJ, a cappuccino, pastry, egg, toast, ham, and generous serving of bacon. The food was brought out very quickly and our table barely fit all of the plates and cups. As we ate, there was a steady stream of locals coming to grab morning coffee and chat up the batista. While not a culinary masterpiece, the food is good, filling, and well worth the money, especially compared to other restaurants in Rome. There was plenty of seating and it was cool temperature-wise, a bonus given the heat of late July.

The place is a hidden gem-its on a sode street and from the outside appeared closed. Fear not, the entrance is a corridor to a modern and artsy café. By Roman standards this place was large and comfortable. We went in for an American style breakfast this morning. I love bread and Italian pastries but im trying to manage my carb/glucose levels as I’m pre-diabetic. It sounds like a death sentence in Italy as pane(bread), pasta and pizza are staples. I read other reviews advertising the breakfast menu so I ordered the mini breakfast which comes with freshly squeezed orange juice(pulp), Caffè(espresso), toast(lots of it!), scrambled eggs, bacon and ham. The toast came with numerous spreads(butter, jam and nutella). I ordered two vanilla cappuccinos to finish off a fantastic breakfast. The cappuccinos were delicious, the eggs, ham and toast were great. The bacon was a bit salty but paired with toast and eggs it was fine. Overall, I’m glad we were able to stop in and get some protein and fuel to start off the morning. Total cost for 2 large filling breakfasts, 2 fresh orange juices, 2 espressos and two vanilla cappuccinos=25 euros. Great deal considering the individual prices of the items. This is Italy after all, and a meal at McDonald’s here will set you back about 20 euros. Icing on the cake? Fantastic service and care, we will be back before we leave Rome :)

A cool ambient place with a great selection of desserts. If you’re looking for a place with atmosphere, find your way in after visiting the museums of Vatican. It’s a hipster must-see!

We were in the mood for coffee after dinner on our first night in Rome, and this place happened to be nearby and was still open(thanks, Unilocal!). Coffees were OK — nothing special and definitely not what would come to my mind when I think of good Italian coffee. We were one of only two or three parties in the place(which is very large); our mini dachshund was sitting quietly on the bench next to me and the owner made a point to come tell us that I needed to put him on the floor. All in all, we just didn’t feel welcome here and the coffees wouldn’t bring us back.

This off-the-beaten-path coffee shop happened to be on the way from our hotel into town. We were looking for a good breakfast, but didn’t have our hopes set too high. «Remember, honey, we’re in Europe,» I said to my husband. «They think a croissant and a tiny cup of coffee is breakfast.»(There are many wonderful things about living in Europe, easy access to a hearty breakfast is not one of them.) We weren’t entirely sure about what we could get when we went up to the bar to order, but we tentatively asked for eggs, thinking«Who knows? Maybe we might get lucky?» Sure! Eggs were no problem. Scrambled? Yep, sounds good. Did we want bacon? Bacon! We hit the jack pot! OFCOURSE we want bacon! Who doesn’t want bacon??? After we waited at the table with our coffee — a quite nice cup of coffee — we were presented with two plates of fluffy scrambled eggs, with bacon, biscuits with jam, and some small croissants. It was such a nice surprise to get a delicious REAL breakfast during our get away to Rome.
